Chapter 25 - Headache's Heartache

"You're a fucking idiot, why didn't you wake me up?"

"Because you were sleeping and I didn't want you worrying about me even more than you already do"

"Because I was sleeping, that's a shit excuse. For God's sake Keane," He hissed,

"I'm sorry," I hugged him and he wrapped his arms around me, "I love you"

"I love you too and I'm afraid to say I need to wake Angelo because that cut on your stomach needs stitching"

"Great, please try not to wake Noah too"

"I'll try but I can't promise"

Thankful to say that Tayte managed to only wake Angelo, who stitched me up without many words, we both knew his insides were being eaten up with worry about his Mum. So at 5am, Tayte and I fell asleep, heads resting on each other's shoulders on the floor with the blanket over us.

That morning Noah awoke first, so when Tayte and I opened our eyes we had Noah gazing at us with scrutinizing eyes,

"What happened to you face?" He asked, it took me a few seconds to comprehend what the hell he was talking about,

"He head-butted the shower and caught it on the jutted out piece of metal" Tayte answered,

"You're an idiot"

"Thanks, but I seem to recall a certain someone banging his head getting out of a taxi," he laughed,

"Well the taxi roof shouldn't have shrunk"

"Now who's' the idiot" I teased,

"Whatever" he retorted. We both got up,

"Thanks" I whispered,

"No more pain" He replied

So Carlita wanted to cook us a big goodbye breakfast, and we couldn't exactly say no to her, so we all sat down together and tried to be happy. Though we did get some good news, Angelo's Mum had a broken leg and 2 cracked ribs, other than that she was fine and stable. Yes I know that a broken leg and cracked ribs are bad enough, but we all knew that it could have been much worse. The news had at least put Angelo in a better mood. A mood that nearly cost myself and Tayte being royally beaten by Noah and Arii,

"So Keane, how's the...," he trailed off when Tayte and I both gave him the 'if you say any more I'm going to beat you' look,

"How's the what?" Arii questioned,

"The headache" Angelo saved,

"You know what, I forgot all about it until you just mentioned it" I lied.

Noah's POV

I knew that there was something going on with Keane. Oh God, maybe he'd relapsed again? But he was looking okay. I watched him and Tayte, maybe they were a couple? No, I asked them and they told me straight. I was just leaving the table when a pain sliced through, no, more like stabbed through my head, as if someone had just slammed a giant metal ice pick into my brain. I fell to the floor clutching my head, in shock more than anything,

"NOAH" I heard Keane shout, "Angelo you help my bloody brother," I felt Angelo wrap his arms around me,

"It hurts" I cried,

"Noah, you're going to be fine. Ride through it, it'll pass" He cooed.

Then as soon as it was there, it was gone. All in all I don't think it lasted longer than 30 seconds. I sat up, wondering what had just happened, worried eyes met me,
