Tay POV

BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.

I bent down to hit the off button on my alarm. I had woken up about 15 minutes before my alarm went off. I hadn't slept much. For some reason, my mind was racing with excitement, or dread, I couldn't tell. I pulled on the cute little sunflower dress I got from my closet and made sure it looked good. I had curled my hair slightly and let it fall down over my shoulders. I slipped on a denim jacket and rolled up the sleeves to just below my elbow and tied up my black combat boots. I ran my fingers through my hair and gave my face some final touches of makeup. I looked good, I always did. I kind of have to, I have a reputation as the hottest girl in school, thus making me the most popular. I can't say I hated the title. It was expected though, with the stature of my family, I was meant to be a leader.

I walked down the stairs where my maid, Jenny, was serving up breakfast for me. I looked at the plate of fruit and the delicious smelling oatmeal she laid in front of me. I had to stay healthy, but Jenny has a magic touch when it comes to her cooking. It's really no wonder why she's been with my family so long. I ate quietly while Jenny cleaned around the kitchen. It was so good I was trying not to make it audible as that would be a bit embarrassing. I stood up and Jenny gave me a little kiss on the forehead. My parents aren't around a lot and my brother and sister go to a very special private boarding school a couple of cities over while my older sister is in college. It's kind of lonely, but I make up for it with my pool of friends.

I walked into the garage and got into the candy apple red Ferrari my parents got me for my 18th birthday. I loved it because it made me look so good and made everyone else jealous of me. They also wanted to be my friends because of the things I had, not that they would ever be, but it makes them kiss my nice perky ass. Okay, Tay. I know your ass is awesome but calm down. Fine, but they did kiss up to me a lot. I made it to school and was expecting to have my parking space clear, but nope. That stupid black Camaro was in it, again. I parked a few spaces over and slammed the door.

I started walking to the Camaro angrily, huffing and mumbling profanities to myself. Which is adorable btw. Jenna! Shut up, this is my part. Damn, love. Cranky. Anyways. The all too familiar blonde head was sitting on the hood smoking a cigarette. She had on that leather jacket she wore too much and those black skinny jeans that needed to be thrown away three months ago. Seriously, the jeans had major holes in them. Harsh, I love those jeans.

"Hey, dumbass you're in my spot, again," I said angrily to the blonde. She took a drag of her cigarette and walked up to me. I had to look up at her since she was taller than me but I didn't falter.

"Oh, am I love? Does it have your name on it?" She smirked and blew the smoke to the side clouding us with the cancer cloud. I coughed a bit then glared at her.

"It does, it's on the fucking asphalt. Or maybe you can't read." I spat at her.

She giggled and took another drag of her cigarette and then threw it on the floor. "Bit harsh, love. Too bad I don't give a fuck if it has your name on it," she said calmly but sternly.

I was about to say something but the bell cut me off. The blonde smirked and turned away, lighting another cigarette.

"Turn that frown upside down, love. You'll get wrinkles," she said in a sly little tone, only magnified by that accent that made girl's panties wet for some fucking reason.

"Fuck you, McDougall," I yelled towards her.

She turned around and smirked. "Oh how you wish you could." She winked and turned back around, blowing out the smoke of her god damn cancer stick. I swear I fucking hate that bitch.

...

"Now, Hydrogen bonds are very important. They are present in this very important molecule called water that we need to survive," Ms. Jones kept rambling on.

I was sitting in my seat along with my best friend Hayley and the dumbass pair consisting of Alex and Jack. They were making faces that looked so incredibly ugly, I couldn't help but giggle. Something hit the back of my head and I turned around to see Jenna fucking McDougall laughing her ass off and throwing another wad of paper towards me. I glared at her and flipped her off. This only caused her to burst out laughing along with her little buddy Lynn. Ms. Jones turned around and slammed a book on the table. We all looked at her in shock as she stared Jenna down.

"What do you think you're doing interrupting again, McDougall?" She was squinting in her direction.

Sorry, Ms. If Tay over there hadn't been making faces and flipping me off, I wouldn't have started to laugh," the blonde said through giggles.

Ms. Jones looked over at me and I stood up to defend myself. "She was throwing wads of paper at me! I got annoyed." I tried to defend myself but Jenna butt in, saying it was a lie.

Ms. Jones slammed the book down again and yelled out "Enough!"

We looked at each other and I gulped in dread.

"You both are always fighting. It's gotten on my last nerve and I think I know how to solve it," a small smirk played on her face.

"I can escort myself and Taylor to the Principal's office ma'am," Jenna said as she started walking to the front.

"Freeze, sit down. Since neither of you paid attention to what I was saying, I'll give you the honor of being the first two assigned. Jardine, McDougall, you will be working together to create a report and presentation on water. I want it to be detailed and have a kick ass presentation along with it. I'm going to make it worth 75% of your final grade just for you. And yes I can do that because the Principal is sick of your bickering as well. You better shake because if you fail this, you'll fail the class. If you fail, no graduation. You present in three months. Better be a good one. Everyone else, you can do yours on any of the topics up here on the board. Pair up and tell me when you pick a topic so I can cross it off," she said and sat down at her desk.

Jenna and I stared at each other wide eyed. There was no way I was going to work with that fucking demon spawn. It would be chaos, she would like kill me or shave my head. Both are equally terrible. She looked at me with the same hate in her eyes, but I saw a bit of a smirk forming on her lips. Oh god, she's going to make my life hell. I looked back at my friends and they all looked at me sympathetically. I looked over at Lynn who was trying really hard to bite her tongue but I could tell she wanted to laugh. I sat down and sighed. I would have to work hard for the next three months on a project with Jenna McDougall. I knew she wouldn't help and expect me to carry her weight. The bell rang and we all tried to get out of there quickly but Ms. Jones stopped us.

"Tay, Jenna, come here."

We walked over to her and stood in front of her desk.

"I have some extra guidelines for you. You'll be graded as a team and individually. Since I know you, McDougall, Tay will be providing an evaluation of you to make sure you pull your weight. If she says you didn't, you'll fail." She looked at Jenna sternly. I smirked at Jenna as she opened her mouth to say something.

"But that's not fair. She'll just fail me on purpose even if I do all the work," Jenna whined. I would. Have fun not graduating.

"I know, which is why you will evaluate her too. You will check each other's evaluations before you turn in your assignment. If you fail Tay, she'll fail. The evaluation is worth 31% of the grade. If you fail it, you'll fail the whole thing so be smart and work together. The paper will be worth 35% and the presentation 34%. Better do a good job and work together if you have any hope of graduating. Now go, don't want to be late," Ms. Jones winked at us and shooed us out the door.

I looked over at Jenna who was just as upset as I was. We parted in opposite directions without saying a single word to each other. This is great, I'm stuck doing a project with this blonde bitch who's going to make it purposely difficult for me to stand her. The worst part is, I have to stand her or else I won't graduate. Fuck. Can someone just kill me now?
