Beach Autumn Fun Buddies pt. 2

A cold front passes through Beach City.

Steven shivered.

Steven: I-It's n-never been th-this cold before...

Pearl: It will pass, it is fall... it's not too much of a surprise, Steven.

Lapis was snuggled up against Peridot in an over-sized sweater.

Peridot wasn't paying attention to anything else but her game of tetris, it was getting close.

Lapis jumped up.

Lapis Lazuli: I WON! I BEAT YOU! I GOT YOU, I WON, I GOT YOU, I WON.

Peridot rested her head in her hands.

Peridot: Yeah, yeah.... whatever...

Steven: P-Peridot.... Do you w-want to go e-explore beach cit-ty... with meeeeE?

Garnet grabbed steven and bundles him up in a blanket.

Garnet: No.

Steven: But Garnet!

Garnet: Steven, it's too cold.

Pearl: Amethyst, get your head out the fridge.

Amethyst: Garnet, why don't you go along with Steven? Wouldn't that be fine?

Peridot: Turned around to look out the window, it was almost sunset, they had about an hour left till the night falls, it would be fine, right? It looks so nice out there.....

Garnet: ...... Fine. Lets hurry.

Peridot kissed Lapis' cheek and walked down the stairs.

Lapis: Have a *yawn* Good time!....

Peridot left along with Steven and Garnet.

Steven: You'll *sniff* Like it! 

Garnet grabbed both Steven and Peridot and jumped up.

Peridot & Steven: woAHHh!

Garnet soared over Beach City.

Lars looked up and dropped a pack of doughnuts.

Lars: WHY!?

Steven waved.

Steven: HI LAARRRSSS!!!!!! HI RONALDO!!!!!! HI SOURCREAM, HI JENNY, HI FISHFACE, HI ONI- *groan* Onion....

Peridot stared down, everybody was waving like she, Steven, and Garnet were celebrities, it was so weird, but so thrilling!

Peridot waved awkwardly as Garnet flew down to the beach.

Garnet: That *fixes glasses* was weird. 

Garnet strutted back to the temple, dropping Peridot and Steven.

Peridot: oOoff..!

Steven: I'm used to it...

They stood up wobbly and out of balance.

Steven started to walk back to the temple until he realized Peridot wasn't following.

Steven: umm Peridot...??

Peridot was looking around at other things, un interested at what Steven was saying at all.

Steven: PERIDOT!!!!!?!

Peridot: wou-uh-huh?

She turned crimson and speed-walked to Steven.

Steven rolled his eyes and walked towards the temple with Peridot.

Steven: Peridot...... how did you fall in love with Lapis?

Peridot: I....Uh.. wellllll...... i guess.... ever since i had to put her in a cell... i always kinda had a thing for her...I-I GUESS!!!...

Stevens eyes narrowed.

Steven: you like Laaaaaapissssssss......

Peridot covered her mouth and blushed immensely.

Peridot: STEVENN!!

Lapis walked out of the house.

Lapis: Oh, i was just going to look for you, garnet just got back... umm. Peri..? Are you... okayy??

Peridot scurried up the steps still covering her mouth.

Peridot: Mmmhmmph...!!

She slammed the door and ran into the closet.

Lapis: What was that all about...?

Steven: I don't even know.

They walked inside.

Steven: Pearl what are you doing... why is there a stack of sandwiches? 

Pearl: Oh! Steven. This is for Amet- AMETHYST!???!!!!!

Amethyst gulped down the sandwiches right after Pearl placed the last down.

Pearl: YOU ALMOST ATE MY HAND!!!!

Amethyst: Sorry, P....?

Pearl: UGHH!! Don't call me... P!?!!!!!

They continued arguing, but Lapis didn't care, she wanted to find Peri.

Lapis opened all the cabinets, no Peridot. 

In the bathroom? Nope.

Under the stairs? NO PERIDOT!!!!

She looked up and saw the closet upstairs.

Lapis: Aha!

She ran up and opened it, there lied a red-faced Peridot.

Lapis: Peridot....

She cuddled up against Peridot on the ground and fixed her glassses.

Lapis: Whats going on?

Peridot: Steven.... Steven said something embarrassing.

Lapis: Like what...?

Peridot looked down.

Peridot: well... I told him that... i kinda had a crush on you ever since... i saw you.

Lapis stared at Peridot.

Peridot: Maybe i just embarrassed myself... I don't know.

Lapis: Peri.... If... If i had known....

Peridot: I-I Tried to pretend! I pretended that I didn't like you, because I knew you didn't like me!

Steven, Amethyst, Pearl, And Garnet stood around the door listening to each word.

Lapis Lazuli: But I did! I Thought.... I thought that you were... annoyingly cute..

They giggled and held eachother closer.

Lapis Lazuli: If only we knew sooner...

Peridot: I'm... sorry.

Peridot held Lapis in a kiss, then let go.

Lapis I.... I forgive you.
