Reflections (Poetry)

a rainbow appears.

red is for rubies that glisten so bright,
and for the love hearts on Valentine's night

orange is for the fruit, on bushes they grow
and for the noses of men who are made of snow.

yellow is for the sun that shines in the sky
and for the daffodils that stand really high.

green is for trees that shake in the breeze
and for the grass that makes people sneeze.

blue is for the ocean that brings so much joy
and for the baby blue eyes of many little boys.

purple is for grapes that are so sweet to eat
and for the lips that change without heat.

pink is for candy floss stuffed in a bag
and for blushing cheeks when a kiss has been had.

colour is able to take away fears
cause when fear goes away,
a rainbow appears.
