Reflections (Poetry)

on being shy.

being shy is incredibly tough,
you find it hard to talk
and you've got a
tight rope to walk.

balancing between
falling or dying,
when all you really want
is winning and flying.

but no one understands
they think that you're weird,
this is only because
it's something they've not feared.

you've been invisible for so long,
now you're suddenly not,
your nervousness is showing,
it's not hard to spot.

you try so hard
to push yourself beyond,
the places you're comfortable,
the places of which you're fond.

but you can't give up,
you've come so far through
and you can't turn back now
no matter how much you want to.
