Reflections (Poetry)

stranger in the blue.

promise you won't forget me
no matter where I am
just like the ferocious lion
never forgets the timid lamb.

I may not be special
and I guess I'm forgettable too
but please remember me always
so I'm not a stranger in the blue.

look back on our nights together,
and the days so full of fun,
don't let them become a memory
or forget them so there are none.

I know I will miss you
but do you feel the same?
when I return from my journey
will you even know my name?

I don't want to be a stranger,
I don't want this to end
but even though I'm not with you
I'll always be your friend.
