Summer Collins is a 16 year old, who's labeled as the Smart Girl in school. She's bullied by most of Colton's friends. Colton has no idea that his sister is bullied because she's smart. She's able to skip a year, which puts her in the same grade as her older brother Colton.
During the last day of school, Colton's friend and team mate Mason Fields is injured in a car wreck that leaves him Temporarily blind that lands him in the hospital until he heals.
The only thing Summer looks forward to when schools out for the summer is to work at the hospital caring for sick patients. She ends up getting stuck with Mason while he heals.
