☑ Chapter 10: Assessment

Zypher's POV

Pagkatapos kong maligo at gamutin ang sarili ko, bumalik na kami sa mga klase namin.

Nandito na kami sa loob ng classroom pero nakatayo parin. Most of the students are still in the hallway chitchatting about what just happened ealier. Seems like hindi pa sila naka get over sa nangyari kanina.

I looked around the room and saw that there were still just a few of us inside. Many of them are just chatting with each other as well.

I leaned on the wall when Mia and Alex couldn't seem to decide where they want to sit during this period yet. Hinayaan ko nalang sila. Parang ayaw na nila sa usual seat namin sa may likod.

Pinauna ko na rin si Jill sa classroom nila before we came here. And her pouty face was the last I saw of her before walking unwillingly to her classroom.

She still can't get over how I already know her supposedly secret mission about watching over me.

Ang pagbukas ng pinto sa classroom ang biglang nakakuha sa atensyon ko. Pati sina Alex at Mia ay napatingin doon.

"Grabe talaga 'yon si Zypher. Wala talaga akong makitang takot o intimidation man lang sa mga mata niya! I mean, at some point, even us were intimidated of Zach when we were younger." Naglalakad pa loob na sabi ni Ed sa mga kasamahan niya.

I frowned at the sight of him. He's not in the same year as we are. Ba't nandito siya sa classroom namin? And he knows what happened earlier?

I didn't even notice that he was also in the cafeteria a while ago.

Hinintay kong may umalma sa kanila, but everyone just nodded, the same amusement written all over their faces. Napatingin na ako sa bukasan ng pinto.

Hmm, Zach isn't with them.

Nagkibit ako ng balikat. He might have needed the time to recover after seething in the cafeteria when I walked out.

His fault, anyway.

"Sobrang badtrip niya talaga ngayon. And I've never seen him that out of control besides the times he's dealing with paper works or some things that triggers his impatience. Kasi, Zach may be short-tempered naturally, but he's not illogical like this. 'Yung walang rason na naiirita lang talaga siya sa isang tao. This is the first time I've seen him like this! His prided control just went all nuts!"

Namamangha na sabi ni Steph na agad na sinang-ayunan na naman ng tatlo niyang kasama. I felt Mia and Alex's stares but I didn't mind them. I just stared at the blackboard in front of the room.

"Remember when he--oh!"

Agad na naputol sa pagsasalita si Nathan nang sa wakas ay nakita na nilang nasa loob lang din pala ako ng classroom kagaya nila.

About time they see me just standing behind them.

"Oh, hi, Zypher! Uhmm, I'm Stephanie. It's so nice to bump into you like this. I mean, finally." At agad na kinuha niya ang kamay ko na hindi man lang nagsasabi. Stephanie caught herself and smiled awkwardly at me.

"Sorry, just got a little excited." Tumango nalang ako at ginalaw na rin ang kamay kong hawak pa rin niya.

"Hi! You," May biglang umagaw sa kamay ko galing kay Stephanie. Nang ibaling ko sa gilid ang mga mata, agad na nasalubong ko ang nakangising mukha ni Nathan at ang isang daliri niyang nakaturo sa akin.

"... are one cool girl. Ikaw lang ang nakakapagsalita kay Zach ng gano'n. Nice!" At mabilis na nakipag shake hands sa akin.

I just nodded at him and looked at the rest of them when they started gathering around me.
