We run for money, we run for fame,
without realizing others' pain..
When a cry for help comes near,
we turn away, become deaf to their fear.
Yet later we shout, where is humanity's light?
blind to the truth that we dim it each night.
We say the world is cruel and cold,
forgetting, we are the narrator of the story told.
The earth itself is not unkind,
it is us who have stone heart and selfish mind.
So before you tease someone, feel the sting inside.
Before you wound, see where your humanity hides.
Find yourself guilty before you blame,
uncover your flaws before you cast the same.
