August 3rd
Nico
A year ago today, Will made me stay in the infirmary for three days. If I had only known then that I would be marrying that man, I would have went there two days sooner. We laid in bed snuggling this morning for what seemed like most of the morning. I don't normally spoon Will, but today I was. This man had given me so much, his love and protection. He had changed me for the better. No longer did I have to hide in the shadows, now I had my light. Soon, we would be making our vows to each other, pledging our lives to one another. I could have laid there all day with my arm wrapped around my lovers strong chest. Sadly, we were interrupted by someone knocking on the door. We got up, threw some clothes on, and answered the door.
Jason and Piper were there smiling. "Time to get ready boys." Piper said, "Have you two been lying in bed all morning?" We both just looked down. "Both of you need to go get cleaned up quick. You don't want to be late to your own wedding. Nico, you're going with Jason and Will is coming with me."
I was going to protest, but I knew that it would be useless. We took a quick shower and made ourselves look pretty. Then we grabbed our things and headed out the door. I followed Jason to the Zeus cabin and Will went with Piper. When we got to the cabin, Jason took me inside. Hanging on the bathroom door was my tuxedo. I've never worn anything so formal before. It was beautiful, dark gray with a white shirt and black tie. Jason led me to the bathroom, handing me the tux, and I went inside to change. It took me a while to get everything on, this was definitely a lot more clothes than I was use to wearing. Everything fit perfectly though, even the shoes.
When I came out of the bathroom, Jason was standing in the middle of the room already dressed. His tux was identical to mine. "Damn Nico, you look pretty good all dressed up. It's almost too bad I'm not into guys."
"Shut it Grace."
He walked over and gave me a quick hug. "Are you ready for the most important day of your life?"
"I'm ready for it to be over with. I can't begin to describe how nervous I am."
"It'll be over before you know it. Just do me a favor and try to have a good time."
I nodded back to him. "I promise."
We headed out the door and made our way over to the amphitheater. When we got to the entrance Percy was standing there waiting for us. "Man the two of you look good in those tuxes. Two slight problems though, still no sign of anything resembling a priest. The other problem is your rings aren't here yet either. Will is starting to look really worried."
I looked at my watch, Will had got it for my birthday, and it was almost noon. I specifically told the guests of honor to be here by 11:45. Leave it to the Gods to be fashionably late for their own son's wedding.
"Can I go in and talk to Will?"
"Absolutely not," Jason responded, "its bad luck to see the groom before the wedding. You'll have to wait here with me until the wedding starts. Percy, can you go tell Will and Piper just to be patient for a few more minutes?"
"Got it," he replied running off into the amphitheater.
Jason and I stood there in-patiently waiting for a few more minutes. It was now 11:59 and still no sign of the Gods. I was starting to get mad at my father and Hera. At exactly noon, a dark cloud formed out of nowhere behind us. Out of it came my dad's chariot, pulled by four skeletal horses. From what looked like directly from the sun, Apollo's golden chariot appeared in the distance. It wasn't until it got closer that I realized there were two Gods in it. One being the golden boy Apollo and the other looked like Hera. Thank Lord Zeus, they held true to their word. Hades' chariot pulled up beside us while Apollo's went inside the amphitheater.
