"Keane, you are staying under my roof, therefore you are my responsibility. I don't care if your 50 years old. You understand that right?" I nodded reluctantly "Then understand if anything happens to you, it's all on me and I promised your parents years ago that I'd look after you and honestly, this isn't a good idea"

"Oh come Talina, I get that you care about us but seriously, what's the worst that can happen?"

"Do you seriously want me to answer that Keane?"

"Fine, fine. I'll go by myself"

"Now you're being ridiculous, you know you can't drive"

"Watch me" I headed out of the room,

"I'll go" Noah said,

"I'm not being unreasonable, I just want you safe"

"Talina, Keane's way past being safe anymore"

"Keane, what's gotten into you?" Noah said,

"I could say the same to you"

"Don't put this back on me"

"How could you even think to say what you did to Tayte? You're an idiot Noah, you are my baby brother and I love you so much, I am not keeping things from you and if I was to, it would only be in your best interest okay"

"I know, I didn't mean it. I was just angry; so far not much good has come of the travelling"

"This is only the second stop, hey Dubai wasn't bad"

"Only because you liked Harvey and Donna"

"Nothing bad happened"

"I know, but it might here"

"Bad things are always going to happen"

"Keane, this is serious, what about if one of us gets kidnapped, or killed?"

"I wouldn't let that happen"

"And that makes me worry even more"

Talina gave in, with much persuasion on everyone's behalf. She let us take her jeep and told us if she didn't hear from us every couple of hours she'd send the police. We also had to be back at 7pm, it was 10am now so we had 9 hours.

We headed into the traffic, Tayte was driving and I was sitting shot gun. We didn't get far until we were stationary, I honestly don't know how they put up with the traffic here.

"So am I just following the signs to Johannesburg?" Tayte asked,

"Yeah, we'll see the city and then head off somewhere else"

"I can't believe she agreed" Arii said,

"She just didn't want Keane to go off the rails and do something stupid. She was thinking of his safety and our wellbeing" Noah said.

"I see you didn't bring your crutches Keane" Angelo said,

"I don't need them, they just get in the way"

"You know sometimes I think you don't want to get better"

"To be honest, it's not my main focus at the moment"

"KEANE" Noah scolded,

"What? I was being truthful"

"So what is your main focus?" Tayte asked,

"Keeping you all safe and eventually finding our parents so we can finally stop running for a while"

"Why'd you say a while? This isn't going to become a common occurrence after we find our parents" Arii said,
