Masky narrates
—Are you gonna tell me what's going on between you and Toby?
I was lost in thought, couldn't stop thinking in... that. I tried but i couldn't.
I've been confused for a week now. Why would Rogers kiss me?!
Hoodie was driving, waiting for me to answer.
—Nothing.
Obviously it was useless to lie. He will keep asking, getting me on my nerves, 'til i decide to speak.
—Liar.
—Nothing happened...
He laughed and shook his head.
—Why are you laughing? —i shouldn't have asked...
—You must think i'm an idiot. Right, Tim?
—Explain yourself.
—You got in the car as fast as you could when i said i was coming to the city. Besides, you two were avoiding each other for a week.
—I told you, i had to pick up some stuff...
—Right... What about the biker?
—What about him?
—Open my can.
I opened a can of beer and passed it to him. After taking a sip he continued talking, eyes on the road.
—You wanted to kill him, right there—he said with a smile that's giving 'gotcha!'.
—He called me pussy—i answered pretending to be nonchalant.
—You're such a liar!
And he laughed again.
For someone who's accusing me of weird things, he seemed very happy. And it was because he was right.
And he knew it.
—You didn't do it because of that.
I was speechless, i didn't really have arguments to defend myself against his accusations.
When he noticed i wasn't answering, he kept talking with a big arrogant smile.
—It was because he hit Toby.
—Not true.
—"If you ever put a single finger on him again...", stop pretending. Asshole.
Motherfucker.
—It doesn't mean anything—i opened a can and started drinking.
—It doesn't?
—No.
—You called him by name.
—...
It was true, i did.
On several occasions...
Is his life so boring that he pays so much attention to everything i say?
—Still doesn't mean anything.
—Sure...
—Are you saying you wouldn't kill for us? What a friend.
I tried to change the topic of conversation. Tried to accuse him a little too.
He slowed down the car, there was traffic. Fantastic.
—I would, i'd kill for you both. But you? I wouldn't expect it from you... i wouldn't even expect you killing for me.
—I guess you don't know that well.
—I guess not...
The car moved slowly, people honked their horns. It was a beautiful night.
—You didn't answer the question, tho.
—What question? Are you gonna shut up at some point?
—Why are you two so distant lately? I mean, more than usual.
—You're incredibly annoying...
—Oh, i know why!
Gave him a side eye.
—You had wild sex!
He burst out laughing, my right eye was having a twitching fit and the vein in my forehead was about to pop.
He went completely silent and gave me a surprised intrigued look.
—You're not bitching like you always do. Did you fuck Toby?
—Are you out of your mind?! —i grabbed him by his clothes.
—I wouldn't be surprised, anyway.
—What are you talking about now, dumbass.
We heard the horns behind us, Hoodie put his hands on the wheel and moved forward.
—It's obvious something changed. You're no longer despicable to him.
He took his can one last time and drank what was left.
—He kissed me.
He began to cough desperately, a little saliva running down his chin.
—He did what?
—I only told you so you'd choke on your beer...
—Nice, now spill the tea!
—Beg a little.
—Fuck you! —he frowned and then started laughing— So there was sexual tension, huh.
Now it was me who was frowning.
—It wasn't like that...
—Just tell me.
I ended up telling him the situation so he wouldn't get any wrong... or dirty ideas.
We finally got out of the traffic.
—Then why you told him to kiss you?
—Because i wasn't expecting him to actually do it?!
—You weren't?
—No!
—Did you close your eyes?
—What? How could i remember that!
—Did you?
—I don't know!
I lied.
Of course i remember.
Of course i closed my eyes.
But it was just for a moment.
It wasn't important.
—Alright, let's say you weren't expecting him to kiss you. You were hoping it.
—Wha-? That is not...! —what the hell is he saying?!
—So you did close your eyes.
It's hopeless, i shut my mouth.
—I find you guilty.
