—UNO!

—Shit...

—I can't believe he won again.

—I told you to make him skip, it's your fault Rogers!

—I didn't have that card!

—It's not his fault i'm the shit—Hoodie interrupted, boasting of his victory—. Beer, anyone?

—I'm good—Masky answered lighting a cigarette.

—Yeah, me—Toby said shuffling the deck, ready to win.

—Uh? Where that determination came from?

—This time i'm gonna kick your ass.

The three proxies were playing UNO with some candles around them, since the power had gone out due to a storm.

Hoodie, who had many victories was getting Masky and Toby on their nerves, they kept arguing after every defeat.

—I think it's cute, thinking you can defeat me—laughed—. Alright, i'll make you bite the dust one last time.

—Shut up cocky, go get the beers you're wasting our time—Masky said sick of his friend's triumphant smile.

—You're gonna lose anyways.

Hoodie left the room laughing.

—Give him the worst cards, quick.

—Uh?

—Hurry up Rogers, i can't stand his stupid laughing anymore.

—God the vain in your forehead is gonna explode—he said checking the deck.

—Clearly...

After a while Hoodie came back with the beers, Toby dealt the cards with a serious face, just like Masky's.

—You wouldn't look at my cards, would ya? —even if they did, he didn't care. He was sure he would win again.

—Not at all, play your card.

Hoodie did what Masky said and started playing the last round.

What he tought would last seconds and be another quick victory turned into a long and tense round. They drank trying to calm their nerves, even Masky drank Hoodie's beer.

—Hey, you didn't want one!

—Shut up or are you nervous because you know you're gonna lose, Brian—he responded in a defiant tone.

—Oh, so you're looking for a bet—he smiled.

—You think you can handle it? —he smiled back.

—Can you?

—Rogers, make a bet—he said mad at Hoodie's defiant attitude, even though it was the same as his own.

That took Toby by surprise, he was busy thinking how competitive they were and how alienated he felt from that entertaining conflict, especially because he started it. He found it funny.

—The loser have to sleep outside...

—In underwear—Masky added.

—Wha‐

—Fine! —Hoodie accepted.

—Fine!

—My turn.

Hoodie played a card, then Toby and then Masky.

They played for a while longer until they finally had 2 cards.

—Toby make him skip.

—Don't listen to him.
