—I don't know—he wanted to avoid the conversation.
—You hated me but you don't know the reason?
—Exactly.
—Liar—he responded almost in a whisper and looked away, he was slightly pissed.
—I'd like to take a shower, could you-
—Yeah... —he stood up ready to leave the room.
—You were so annoying.
Toby stopped, still with his back to him, listening intently.
—I couldn't stand your stupid smile and your annoying good humor, sometimes i couldn't even hear your incredibly annoying voice—he said with his usual tone of voice, while Toby could felt his heart getting smaller and smaller—. But what i hated the most was that it didn't matter how mean i was, you always put a smile when you saw me coming.
Masky looked at him waiting some answer, truth is he wasn't feeling great admitting all that.
—I guess i'm annoying sometimes, it's okay—he showed a smile and went to prepare the bathtub.
—It's not...
He sighed, he knew what he said upset Toby and that's not what he was looking for.
After a while Toby came back to his room.
—Woah, the door is not closed, i guess it wasn't an excuse to get me out of the room uh... —he joked.
—Rogers...
—The bathtub is ready, i'll be in my room—he said quickly so he could leave.
—Could you wait here?
—Uh?
—You mind?
Masky left him and went to take a shower without waiting for his answer.
After half an hour, he came back to his room, there was no sign of Toby so he angrily headed to his room. How dare he disobey?
—Why you weren't there? —he asked, making his anger evident once Toby opened the door after several knocks.
—You really expected me to wait for you half a hour?
—Wouldn't you?
—If you were a girl...
—Let me in.
—Why?
—If Hoodie sees me standing here it's gonna be weird.
Toby rolled his eyes and walked away from the door, letting him to come in. He threw himself on the bed with no interest in him, Masky pushes him and sits next to him.
—Rude.
—So you are.
—Whatever, why are you here? What's so embarrassing Hoodie can't find out? —he asked with his arms crossed and still offended.
—I hated you.
—Yeah i got that!
—You don't, i said i hated you—he repeated.
—I'm not following.
Masky clicked his tongue, he lost his patience.
—Don't you know the verb tenses, asshole?
—Oh! —he giggled— So you don't hate me anymore.
—Stop smiling like that.
—Say you like me.
—No.
—I said say you like me—he took him by his cheeks just like Masky did that time, this time their gazes were different.
Toby showed a firm look and Tim had a mixture of surprise and confusion. Toby was being bossy for the first time.
—Say it! —he yelled.
—I like you.
—More than Hoodie?
—Alright—he gently removed Toby's hands.
—So you do like me...
—Enough.
—I like you too.
Toby showed a tender smile accompanied by crinkle eyes. That smile and those words made Masky felt embarrased and caused him a barely visible blush.
He slapped him on the head.
—Stop hitting me! What's your fucking problem?! —he yelled.
—It's your fault—he got up and headed to the door—, your sweetness is also annoying.
He left.
—Does he think i'm sweet?
