It's the first day of freshman year. I've got my backpack and my new outfit. I look in the mirror and look at my self. I look pretty good if I say so myself. "Ruby! Honey, I don't want you to be late on your first day!!" My mom called from down stairs. "Coming mom" I grab my backpack, throw my phone in my back pocket take another quick glance in the mirror then dash out to the car. I jump into the passenger seat and set my backpack on the floorboard. I glance at my mom, she is staring at me. "..what?" I ask. She just smiles "Oh nothing...it's just..you are growing up so fast.." She said tears in her eyes. I smiled. "Well we better get going" She said pulling out of the driveway. Once we get there my mom pulls into the parking lot, once parked She turns to me and takes my hands. "Listen baby...high school is going to fly so fast your not even going to know what happened...just..just promise me you'll make the most out of it...but please don't do anything stupid like get pregnant or do dr-" "MOM!" I said blushing a little "I promise..." She smiles and I give her a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "I love you mom" I said as I opened the car door. "Bye, love you too! Have fun!" She said as I closed the door. I was walking not paying attention waving at my mom when I bump into someone. "Oop, my bad..." I said as a beautiful girl with blond hair and blue tips turned around to face me. She was about my hight and she had bangs covering her eyes. "Oh no, I'm sorry..I really shouldn't be just standing her in the middle of everything.." She said. Her voice was beautiful it made me shiver. "....uh..yeah....sorry...my name is Ruby...nice to meet you." I said holding my hand out for her to shake. She reached out and shook my hand. Her hand was so soft. "My name is Sapphire...nice to you too." She smiled. Sapphire....what a pretty name..and that smile..out of this world..omg I'm crushing on this girl so hard holy crap!! I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard her speak "-ell I better head to class...hope to see you around..bye!" She walked off down the hallway. "...bye" I said. Wow...I think I might be in love. Just then the bell rang and I snapped out of my daze. "Crap I'm going to be late!!!!" Then I sprinted off to my first period.
