Dave headed to the bathroom to start and plan his next move. He stared at himself in the mirror. He was an attractive guy, right? No way this could go wrong. Of course, if Aradia wasn't interested, he wouldn't force her. Maybe he'd bribe her before he really gave up, but hey. Alls fair in love and war.

He took a deep breath before stepping back out into the party. He ran a hand through his hair, fixed his shirt, and made a beeline for Aradia. He put on his best fuckboi smile, coming up behind her.

"Hey beautiful." He said, smirking lightly and leaning against the wall.

Aradia turned around and quirked an eyebrow. Another? This was like, the fifth time tonight. This one was kinda cute though. She didn't think she'd ever seen him around before. She sighed. She couldn't let on that she was interested. "Hey there." She responded, giving him a gentle smile.

"How's your night been?" Dave asked, doing a quick sweep of her body. She was pretty and had a nice body. Probably about 4 inches shorter than Dave, meaning she was an inch or so taller than Karkat. She seemed to have a pretty good sense of style; red jeans and a black shirt. He wasn't gonna lie. She was pretty hot.

"It's been fine. What about yours?" Aradia questioned, flipping up an eyebrow. She could feel his eyes on her and she couldn't help but blush lightly. Stupid reflexes. She tucked her hair behind her ear and looked down. He made her nervous. She didn't like that.

"It's better now that I'm with you." He winked.

She rolled her eyes. "Get me a drink and maybe we can talk some more." She handed him her cup and flashed him a small smile of approval and maybe even a wink.

Dave smiled back, taking her cup to the kitchen. He was in. Now he needed her number, a few dates, and bam. Karkat was as good as his. He couldn't help but feel a little crazy. He was cooking up some insane plan to get some guy to go out with him. It was a little nuts. Maybe he'd had too much to drink. He sighed. Step one was already in action, so why not just play it out? It was worth a shot.

He filled up her cup and also his own, walking back out to find the female. Sure, Dave had always preferred guys, but girls were pretty great too. I mean, boobs man. Boobs. He handed Aradia her drink as well as a small smirk. "So, you live around here I'm guessing?" He just wanted to start a conversation. It was kinda hard with a certain short nubby horned troll constantly on your mind.

Aradia took the offered drink, nodding her head. "Yeah. I didn't grow up here, but when we came to Earth most of my friends moved here, so I followed. Why not, right?"

Dave chuckled, nodding his head. "Yeah. Why not. Seems like everyone lives around here really. I'm not from here. I came to visit my sister Rose. I don't know why I didn't move down here sooner, honestly. It seems everyone I know lives here. I guess I should consider moving." He shrugged.

Aradia nodded. This guy was pretty cool, except for the fact that he lived out of town. She preferred in-town relationships. "Hey, I don't think I caught your name."

Dave smiled. "Oh, yeah. I'm Dave Strider. Cool to meet you." He held out a hand for her to shake.

"Aradia Megido. Cooler to meet you." She smiled, taking his hand and giving it a shake. His hands were cold and rough, but she kinda liked it. She looked up at him and gave him a sideways smile. "You aren't that bad." She said.

Dave liked holding her hand. It was smooth and warm, a refreshing feeling against his cold gruff ones. He did however, pull away, afraid of being weird. "Glad to hear it." He smiled. "So, uh, I'd like to keep in touch with you, you know, after this party and whatever. Maybe I could get your number?" He asked, his hand sliding towards his pocket for his phone .

Aradia smirked. "I gotta see if your worth it." She smiled, putting down her drink and taking his hand. "Let's dance."

Dave inwardly groaned. Dancing was not his strong-suit. He could sing, flirt, rap, but dance? No way. Good luck with that. Nevertheless he followed Aradia to the dance floor. He peered at the others, and watched what they were doing. They were grinding on each other. That's literally all they were doing.

Maybe, this would be easier than Dave thought.
