Chapter 14

Laying on my back with my sunglasses covering my eyes and my hair hanging over the edge of the floating dock, I let out a sigh before turning my head to look at Nathan who was sitting on the bench above me sun bathing.

"Nath?"

Watching as he opened his eyes behind his aviators to look down at me, I rolled over onto my stomach and held myself up on my forearms.

"What is it love?"

"What do you think about me taking a bit of a break from music?" I questioned warily before biting my lip as I awaited his response.

"What do you mean baby?" He wondered as he took off his sunglasses and moved off the bench to sit next to me while I sat up on my knees.

"Well I've been thinking about it for a bit, it's not that I don't like music anymore! I mean you know that I love being able to sing and get up on stage and all that, but I kind of miss Seven and the feeling that it brought me to release a collection. So I was thinking about taking a short break from making music to really take up the reins at Seven again."

Looking down at my hands as I played gently with my engagement ring, I took a glance up at Nathan to see his reaction.

"I guess if that's what you want to do, then that's what you should do. It's not like you can't come back to music after."

He smiled as he reached out to hold my hand.

"Come 'ere..."

I smiled as that Gloucester accent filled my ears as he pulled me lightly over to him to straddle his lap.

"What made you think about all of this love?" He asked before pressing a kiss to my nose.

"I got an email while we were still at Heathrow reminding me that the Autumn/Winter release is tomorrow." I replied softly as I draped my arms over his shoulders while he just nodded in understanding.

After a few minutes of just staying silent and listening to the soft, rolling waves he spoke again.

"How about we go back to our room, get some of this sand washed off and go to dinner?" Nathan whispered in my ear.

"That sounds nice."

A smile took over my features as I stood up first before he followed suit. Taking off my sunglasses and holding onto them as I jumped into the water, I turned and grinned at Nath who was still standing there before I began swimming. Hearing him jump in after me, I continued swimming till we got to shore and walked up to our chairs to grab my towel. Drying myself off and putting my shorts back on, I picked up my shoes and sat down to put them on. Looking up to see Nath now drying himself off, I rolled my eyes playfully as I noticed him purposely trying to flex in front of me.

"Come on muscle man." I joked as I stood up and grabbed my things before starting to walk up the beach towards the path.

"Hey! Come on!" Nathan pouted as he caught up to me and grabbed my hand to lace our fingers together.

I couldn't help but laugh at the expression on his face as we continued walking past the pool and I once again caught the eyes of middle aged men. Apparently Nath noticed them as well because his hand let go of mine to wrap around my bare waist. Kissing his cheek with a cheeky smirk on my face, I let all our onlookers know that I was his and he was mine.

Once we got back to our room, I couldn't help but flop down onto our bed. Letting out a long sigh, I suddenly yelped as Nathan jumped over me to lay on the other side of the bed.

"Really?!" I couldn't help the laugh that bubbled up, making me roll over onto my stomach to bury my face into the plush pillow.

"Come on baby! I thought that's why you fell in love with me?!" He joked as he rolled over to be practically on top of my back while littering playful kisses all over my neck and shoulders.

I would've stayed like that for a longer amount of time, however I jumped up holding my bikini top to myself when I felt the tie around my back start to loosen.

"Nath!"

Looking down at my fiance who was now laughing like a hyena and rolling around the bed, I fixed the tie before it was my turn to laugh loudly as he rolled off one side of the bed accidentally.

"Ha! That's what you get! Karma!" I spoke as I stood up and walked to the bathroom.

"Nooooo! Come back and love me!"

I just laughed as I looked back to only see Nathan's feet showing from the other side of the bed.

"I will once I get this sand off of me!"

Walking into the bathroom, I smiled as I heard his voice singing jokingly, presumably still from the floor next to the bed.

"I'm all alone in this world! Nobody is here by my side!"

"Shut up you idiot!" I laughed as I took a balled up towel and threw it at his feet.

"Ow!"

"Yeah!"

Twenty minutes later and we were both dressed nicely for dinner. Looking in the mirror, I straightened out my pink flare mini dress before turning around and slipping on my green and white, leopard print, Giuseppe Zanotti pumps. Watching as Nath walked out of the bathroom after doing his hair, I smiled and gave him a quick kiss.

"Ready love?" He asked while circling his arm around my waist that was highlighted more so than usual in my dress.

Grabbing my black Kate Spade box clutch from the corner of the bed, I nodded before jumping slightly.

"Just one minute."

Walking into the bathroom, I grabbed my makeup bag and pulled out my mascara and lipstick before putting one on and then the other. Making sure my lashes were perfect, I nodded to myself and stepped out again.

"Alright. Now I'm ready."

Watching as he leaned forward, I smiled happily as Nathan kissed me softly.

"Love you darling."

"Love you too babe."
