🌛CHAPTER 34🌜
*°Third Person's POV°*
Eden was woken up the following morning by rapid knocks on her front door, she lets out an annoyed groan, looking around she noticed that Paul has already left, with a frustrated sigh she got out of bed.
Bella Swan stood on Eden’s porch at dawn, her knuckles hovering over the door like she was afraid to knock again. The circles under her eyes were dark enough to rival Eden’s own.
Eden opened the door before she could second-guess herself.
"Jacob’s been ignoring me." Bella blurted out, staring at the girl, the hurt and betrayal all over Bella's face.
Eden stepped aside. "Come in."
The kitchen smelled of wolfsbane and burnt toast. Paul’s jacket hung over the chair—a silent warning.
Bella’s fingers trembled around her tea. "He just… vanished after our confessions at the theater. No call, no texts. The other day, I went over to his house, and he told me to stay away from him, and completely forget about him, he didn't even dare look me in my eyes."
Eden studied the way Bella’s pulse jumped at Jacob’s name. She loves him. The realization settled like a stone in her gut. Bella’s voice broke. "Please. If you know anything—"
Eden’s gloves creaked as she clenched her fists. She thought of Paul’s scorch marks on her sheets, of Sam’s clipped orders, of the way the pack moved like shadows these days.
"I’ll see if I can talk to him," she lied, she hated lying to her friend, but the truth was dangerous, especially since she might not even be his imprint.
Bella got ready to leave, after finishing her tea. She turned to Eden, hugging her tightly. "Thank you for listening to me," she whispered, like Eden hadn’t just damned them both.

Later that day, Eden found herself in the woods, with the pack on their way to go and get Jacob, who was out late patrolling, since Victoria has been appearing a lot more.
They were joking, pushing each other for the fun of it, when they stepped out of the trees, Jacob's house in sight, Embry let's out a whistle, for Jacob, letting him know they were there.
Eden quickly froze up, when she saw the person storming towards them, in a fit of rage.
"What did you do?" Bella yells in question, pushing back Sam, which had the wolves glare at her in rage. "Okay, what did you do?"
"Hey."
"What did you do to him?" Bella asks, looking up at Sam.
"Easy!" Sam tells the boys calmly.
"Bella, you should stop, before you make all of this a lot worse than it should be." Eden warns.
"He didn't want this." Bella states, ignoring the girl.
"What did we do? What did he do? What'd he tell you?" Paul asks getting annoyed by the accusations thrown their way.
"Both of you calm down." Sam tells them.
"Nothing. He tells me nothing because he's scared of you." Bella says, which only had the boys snickering in amusement, even Eden had a grin on her face, which quickly got wiped off, when Bella's hand made contact with Eden's cheek.
Eden's eyes flickered from her usual brown, to a golden colour, next to her, Paul was shaking in a fit of rage.
"Too late now." Jared mutters.
"Bella, get back! Jared, get Eden out of here, before something gets turn into and icicle." Sam orders. Jared walks up to Eden, grabbing her shoulders, he quickly lead her towards the trees, taking the path that leads to Sam's, just as Paul transformed right in front of Bella.
By the time Eden and Jared got to the familiar house, she had calmed down. "You okay?" Jared asks, glancing at her.
"Yeah, I'll be fine." Eden says, a small smile n her face, stepping into the house, that smelled like blueberry muffins.
"Hey there, Vampire girl, you hungry?" Emily asks, jokingly, as soon as she entered her house.
"Sorry Em, not really hungry right now." Eden mutters, falling into an empty chair. Not long after did Jared and Embry enter as well, with Bella trailing behind them, stopping at the door, awkwardly looking around.
"Are you guys hungry? Like I have to ask." Emily laughs, grabbing the big tray of muffins putting it out on the table, the two wolves immediately grabbed one each. Emily looked up to see the clumsy girl standing in her doorway. "Who's this?" She asks.
"Bella Swan. Who else?" Jared states, still angry about the girl slapping Eden on the face.
"Hmm. So, you're the girl Jacob can't stop talking about." Emily says with a smirk.
"So, you're the wolf girl." Bella says, trying to lighten the mood.
"Guess so. Well, I'm engaged to one." Emily says, placing more muffins on the tray, Jared was about to grab another one, when his hands got slapped away. "Save some for your brothers. And ladies first. Muffin?"
"Sure. Thanks." Bella says, finally stepping into the house, taking a muffin, glancing at Eden who has laid her head on the table, her eyes closed, it almost looked like she was sleeping.
"Leave it to Jacob to find a way around Sam's gag order." Emily states.
"He didn't say anything to me." Bella tells them honestly.
"That's a wolf thing. Alpha's orders get obeyed whether we want them to or not. And check it out. We can hear each other's thoughts." Embry tells her.
"And yet here you are sharing secrets, that has no business in this world." Eden mutters, not lifting her head at all.
"Would you shut up? These are trade secrets. Damn it!" Jared snaps, being the loyal wolf he was.
"I'm not afraid of you guys." Bella says, taking a bite out of her muffin.
"Jake's right. You're good with weird." Sam spoke up, entering the house, Eden lifted her head, seeing the alpha greet his fiancée very lovingly, with kisses all over her face. Eden looks away, as she remember Edward being affectionate with her.
Her mood got a little lighter when she noticed Paul and Jacob approaching the house playfully shoving each other, but it was what came after that shocked everyone.
Jacob looked up, and for the first time since he phased he looked into Bella's eyes, he froze in his spot, only seeing her, and their future together.
Everyone else stared at each other, with wide eyes, trying to process what was happening.
When Jacob got over his shock, a big smile appeared on his face. "Bella, would you join me for a walk by the beach?" He asks softly.
"Yeah. I'd like that." She says, quickly walking towards his side, disappearing from the packs sight.
"Did that just happen?" Eden asks, looking at the others who nodded their heads, not sure what to think about all of this.
