🌛CHAPTER 10🌜

*°Eden's POV°*

I arrived at school, on a mission, after getting both Derek and Dad's approval to tell Edward the family secret, I knew I had to do it, before I chicken out like a coward.

I saw Edward from across the parking lot, already looking my way.

"I want to talk to you." I whisper under my breath, knowing he would be able to hear me. I started walking in the direction of the forest, and by the footsteps I heard behind me, I knew he was following me. When I thought we were far enough, I stopped turning to face him, we stared at each other for awhile, before I spoke up.

"I'm not gonna try and sugar coat this, but I'll start with asking, how old are you Edward?" I ask him calmly, still looking straight into his golden eyes.

"Seventeen." Was all he said.

"Let me rephrase that, how long have you been 17?" I ask him.

"A while." These sort answers of his didn't help with my nerves.

"I'm well aware of what you are Edward." I state, not showing any fear.

"Say it. Out loud. Say it." Edward demands, in an unfamiliar tone than I'm use too.

"You're a vampire, and before you get all big and scary on me, judging from your eye colour, you don't eat human blood." I point out, his eyes grew wide, he seemed surprise that I knew that.

"Are you afraid?" Edward asks me.

"Not really, I've dealt with worse monsters before." I told him honestly, confusion, that's what I saw as he stared at me, he didn't say anything, and started pulling me further into the forest.

"May I ask where you dragging me off too?" I ask him, as he kept pulling me forward.

"Up the mountain. Out of the cloud bank. You need to see what I look like in the sunlight." Edward states, he quickly put me on his back, as he sped up the mountain, not stopping until we made it to the top, where a little sun was shining through the trees.

"This is why we don't show ourselves in sunlight. People would know we're different." Edward says, stepping into the sunlight, his back still turned towards me, but I could tell he was busy unbuttoning his shirt.

"This is what I am." He says, hesitantly turning to face me, his skin was shining like diamonds in the sun, it was a quite unexpected sight too see, and for the strangest reason, I was completely fascinated with the sight, it was different than I was use too.

"It's absolutely beautiful." I mutter out loud without even realising it.

"Beautiful? This is the skin of a killer, Eden." Edward scoffs, walking away from the sun, and I quickly followed him. "I'm a killer."

"I'm not sure I believe that." I state, walking close behind him.

"That's because you believe the lie. It's camouflage. I'm the world's most dangerous predator." Edward states, turning to face me. "Everything about me invites you in, my voice, my face, even my smell. As if I would need any of that." He says, disappearing from my sight.

"As if you could outrun me!" He yells loudly, from on top of a pile of rocks.

"As if you could fight me off." He says appearing infront of me, pulling a tree from the ground throwing it across from us, he was trying to scare me off, he was about to find out I wasn't able to be scared off so easily. "I'm designed to kill." He says, staring right into my eyes once more.

"Does it look like I care." I state, taking a step closer, it only made him take a step back.

"I've killed people before. I wanted to kill you. I've never wanted a human's blood
so much in my life." Edward mutters, I appreciate his honesty, but it only raised more questions inside of me.

"Would you believe me if I say, I completely trust you?" I ask him, as he was touching my cheek, staring at my face, and then he disappeared again.

"It's like you said, my family, we're different from others of our kind. We only hunt animals. We've learned to control our thirst, but it's you, your scent, it's like a drug to me. You're like my own personal brand of heroin." Edward explains, from a tree, I turn to look at, he leans closer too me, our faces only a few inches apart, I decided to climb the three as well.

"Than what was with all the hate when we first met?" I asks, sitting infront of him on a tree branch. "I did. Only for making me want you so badly. I still don't know if I can control myself." Edward states.

"I can help you with that." I say softly, it only made him jump out of the tree, but I followed him anyway. Edward trapped me against a rock, both hands against it, trapping me, as his eyes scanned over my face.

"I can't always read your mind. You have to tell me what you're thinking." Edward mutters softly.

"That does scare me." I whisper, unable to look away from him.

"Good."

"But you Edward Cullen, doesn't scare me, the only thing that does scare me, is that this is all a dream, and you might just disappear." I told him honestly.

"You don't know how long I've waited for you." He says, his hand on my cheek. "So the lion fell in love with the lamb." He mutters so softly I almost didn't hear him.

"What a stupid, stupid lamb." I say, with a smile.

"What a sick, masochistic lion." Edward says.

He took me too a clearing were we layed on the grass, staring at each other, I decided it was time to tell him my secret.

"If I think of certain memory, would you be able to see it by reading my mind?" I ask him curiously, laying my head on his head staring into his eyes.

"Yes, I would?" He states in confusion, I took a deep breath, not looking away from him, as I let memories flash through my mind, from the day most of my family died in the fire, them being werewolves, 6 years after than, when we were up against my father, alongside Scott and Stiles, when we were up against the kanima, the pack of Alpha's, as well as the Nogitsune, and than also included my past Stiles.

"You went through all that?" Edward asks, his arm wrapping around my waist.

"Yeah, it's not easy being a human in a werewolf family, I was constantly in danger if it wasn't for Mr Argent teaching me how to defend myself, I'd be dead by now." I tell him, just glad I had someone to talk to about this.

"Who knew you were walking around with such a big secret." Edward says, a grin on his face.

"You were too." I point out.

As we layed there in the clearing, I told him everything in detail, about how I felt about all of it, and he listened to every word, and that's when I realised, that I was truly in love with Edward Cullen.
