“Two years later…”
The day had finally arrived.
The white coat. The convocation hat. The golden letter of achievement.
After years of discipline, heartbreak, resilience — Dr. Gunjan Sinha was about to walk the stage and become everything she dreamed of.
---
Scene: Morning at Sinha House
Gunjan stood before the mirror in her room, wrapped in a cream pearl saree that hugged her figure with elegance. Hair in a low bun, soft jasmine tucked in, minimal makeup — she was the picture of grace and strength.
Her mother was fastening her earrings while her father stood by the door, holding the convocation robe like it was a crown for his princess.
Mrs. Sinha (emotional): “Our daughter… a doctor now.”
Mr. Sinha: “From crayons to cures.”
Gunjan blinked back a tear, but a part of her heart kept searching… for him.
---
Scene: Arrival of Raj Verma
Raj arrived at their house in a beige kurta and embroidered ivory Nehru jacket. He held a small bouquet of her favorite — white tulips.
When he saw Gunjan step out — his breath hitched.
She wasn’t just beautiful today. She was powerful.
Raj (softly): “Doctor Gunjan Sinha… that has a nice ring to it.”
Gunjan: “Let’s just say… Dr. Sinha is proud to be yours.”
She smiled. He grinned. Their fingers found each other like muscle memory.
---
Scene: The Convocation Hall
The auditorium was filled with proud families, beaming friends, and a flood of achievements.
When Gunjan’s name was called,
Raj stood up first — clapping, cheering, beaming with pride like a proud fiancé and best friend.
The Sinha and Verma families stood too, emotional and overwhelmed.
Gunjan walked the stage with confidence, received her degree, and looked out into the crowd — straight at Raj.
Raj mouthed: “That’s my girl.”
---
Scene: Celebration Lunch
After the convocation, both families gathered at a rooftop garden restaurant overlooking the city skyline.
A mini presentation played showing Gunjan’s journey from childhood to college, with snippets Raj secretly collected over the years.
And then… Raj stood up, holding a champagne flute.
Raj:
"Two years ago, she gave me her heart.
Today, she made her dreams come true.
Next month, she’ll become my wife.
Dr. Gunjan Sinha… soon-to-be Dr. Gunjan Verma."
Everyone cheered.
Gunjan blushed, holding Raj’s hand with that unmistakable sparkle in her eyes.
Mrs. Verma: “Shaadi ki tayyari shuru!”
Mr. Sinha: “Iss baar… dono ghar ek saath karenge sab.”
---
Gunjan’s POV (late night journal entry):
"I wore a saree, a white coat, and a smile that couldn’t fade today.
I walked the stage for my degree… but more than that — I walked closer to my future.
Raj Verma, we made it this far.
Next up… Mr. & Dr. Verma."
