Scene: Two Days Before

Raj had landed.
India smelled like home again, but this time, it felt different — it held her.

Verma House – Secret Ops Mode

Raj was hiding in his room like a criminal. Dhruv and Mayur were on alert duty, blocking every parent attempt to open his door.

Nayan, meanwhile, was on the frontlines — stationed at Gunjan’s place as her sleepover buddy, casually eating popcorn, hiding her butterflies and playing along.

Gunjan, unaware of everything, was half-tired with her college schedule and half-lost in missing him. She kept staring at his photo saved as her wallpaper, not knowing the real one was just next door.

---

Scene: Midnight

Nayan’s Message:
"Green signal. She’s asleep. Window unlocked. Let’s do this."

Raj smirked, dressed in a black hoodie and jeans — the same look Gunjan had once confessed she loved.
The engagement ring box safely inside his pocket. The nervousness? All over his face.

He slipped quietly into Gunjan’s room like he’d rehearsed it a hundred times.

She was curled up in her blanket, peacefully asleep — unaware her dream was about to walk into reality.

---

Scene: The Shower Wake-Up

Raj bent down and slowly picked her up in his arms, bridal style. She stirred but didn’t wake up.

He gently whispered, “My girl…”
Then walked her straight into the bathroom.

He turned the shower on.

The cold drops woke her up with a scream.
“RAJ?! WHAT THE—”

Before she could register anything else, he hugged her tight, his body drenched, his face buried in her neck.

She sobbed and laughed all at once, her arms circling around him like they never wanted to let go.

“You idiot! You didn’t tell me!” she said, hitting him on the back.

“I wanted to see this look on your face,” he said softly, “completely shocked and fully mine.”

They laughed under the water, forehead to forehead.
And then… silence.

He cupped her face.
And slowly, their lips met — their first kiss — soft, unsure, electric.
A kiss that spoke of pain survived, and promises whispered between heartbeats.

---

Scene: Long Drive

Wrapped in dry clothes, adrenaline still rushing through their veins, he took her out for a long drive.

The roads were silent. The stars above them alive.
He pulled over by a cliffside viewpoint — the place where they had once imagined “what forever might feel like.”

Raj got down on one knee.

Pulled the ring from his pocket.

“Gunjan… will you be my home? My only?
We survived distance, storms, mistakes, and madness. Let’s not survive anymore. Let’s live — together.
Will you marry me?”

Gunjan’s eyes widened, her hands trembling. She nodded through her tears, “YES! You mad, mad man. Yes a thousand times.”

He slid the ring on her finger.
She pulled him in for a hug.

And under the star-filled sky, their love turned eternal.

Gunjan’s POV (later in her diary):
"He didn’t just surprise me.
He wrecked every rule I made about love, then rebuilt me into the kind of woman who could say yes to forever."
