Sometimes love blooms quietly in corners where friendship once lived.

Scene: Sinha-Verma Living Room — Lazy Sunday Morning
Gunjan and Raj were sitting side by side, comfortably sipping tea and sharing looks that screamed “new couple energy.” The air felt lighter after the big reveal. Everything was calm.
Until…
Dhruv and Nayan entered the room together — laughing, slightly flushed cheeks, hands brushing now and then. Mayur raised an eyebrow.
“Good morning, suspicious people,” he teased.
Raj smirked. “Something you wanna share with the class?”
Gunjan’s eyes widened. “Oh. My. God.”
Nayan tried to maintain her usual sass. “Oh please, don’t act like detectives.”
But Dhruv — the bold one — cleared his throat. “Actually… yeah. There is something.”
Everyone turned silent.
Dhruv held Nayan’s hand, gently. “I thought I was the cool one among us until I met her. She’s bold, fierce, and has the softest heart. And now I don’t want a day without her.”
Nayan, unusually quiet, smiled and squeezed his hand.
Daksha’s voice buzzed on FaceTime again from Mayur’s phone, “Whatt theeee—? Both pairs?? This is Bollywood now!” Everyone burst out laughing.
Mrs. Verma clapped in excitement. “One house, two love stories. It’s like a series!”
Mayur: “I swear I didn’t order this many in-house couples.”
Mr. Verma: “But you definitely approved the production.”

Scene Shift: AMUSEMENT PARK — Late Afternoon
The sun was dipping into orange as the four of them walked through the amusement park gates — laughter, popcorn smells, kids squealing. Everything felt alive.
Raj held Gunjan’s hand like it was his anchor to reality.
Dhruv threw an arm around Nayan’s shoulder, and for once, she didn’t swat it away.
Gunjan’s POV:
“Best friend and boyfriend. Sister and soulmate. Two pairs, same wavelength. What did I even do to deserve this day?”
---
First Stop: Rollercoaster
Gunjan and Nayan screamed the loudest while the boys held on, pretending not to cry.
Raj (after ride): “I swear I saw my life flash before my eyes.”
Gunjan: “Was I in it?”
Raj, panting: “Only you.”
Gunjan: melts
---
Next: Mirror Maze
They all entered — Raj got lost first.
Gunjan bumped into Dhruv thinking it was Raj, and Nayan laughed so hard she couldn’t breathe.
Finally, they found each other by voice and touch. In the mirror maze, two couples stood facing reflections, but only one person mattered in front of them.
---
Cotton Candy & Chaos
Raj bought pink cotton candy, and when Gunjan took a bite, he smeared some on her nose.
Gunjan: “Stopppp!”
Raj: “I like this version of you. Sweeter.”
Gunjan: melts again
Dhruv, meanwhile, got Nayan a balloon and tied it on her wrist. “So you don’t float away.”
Nayan: “And yet, I’m falling every second.”
Dhruv: melts this time

Scene: Ferris Wheel – Night
Two pairs. Two cabins. Two hearts floating in the sky.
Cabin 1: Raj and Gunjan
She leaned her head on his shoulder. “It feels like a dream.”
He kissed the top of her head. “Then let’s never wake up.”
As they reached the top, the wind played with her hair.
He looked at her like the world didn’t exist below.
Cabin 2: Dhruv and Nayan
He placed his hand over hers. “You scare me sometimes.”
She looked confused. “Why?”
“Because I’ve never wanted someone this much.”
She turned to him, whispering, “Then want me forever.”
---
Scene: On the Way Back – Ice Cream Stop
All four sat on the hood of Mayur’s car, eating ice cream under stars. Nayan and Gunjan had their heads on their boyfriends’ shoulders.
Gunjan whispered, “I used to read about love stories like these in novels…”
Raj: “You’re living one now, baby.”
Nayan chuckled, “Except I never imagined falling for the annoying boy next door.”
Dhruv: “And yet… here you are.”
Mayur (watching from his window): “I better start working on my love story. This house is turning into Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.”
Daksha (on call again): “Save a cousin for me tooooo!”
They all laughed.

Chapter End: A Polaroid
Before heading home, a random photo booth caught their eyes.
Four of them crammed in — tongues out, silly poses, hearts full.
The picture printed with this caption:
“The Dream Date — 4 Idiots in Love.”
Gunjan slipped it into her diary.
Raj saved a digital copy in his “Forever” folder.
Nayan pinned it to her mirror.
Dhruv made it his lock screen.
