It was supposed to be a routine mission.

Class 1-A was split across sectors of downtown Tokyo, assisting in traffic control after a quirk-triggered collapse during rush hour.

You were positioned with Sero and Jirou, clearing civilians from a barricade zone.

Then the explosion happened.

Not from the wreckage—but from the sky.

A modified drone crashed into a nearby rooftop and detonated on impact. A blast of blue fire ripped through the air, collapsing the structure beside you.

You were thrown against a car hood. Your helmet cracked. Blood in your mouth.

Jirou screamed your name.

And then everything went black.

You woke up in Recovery Girl's wing with your ears ringing and your ribs bandaged tight.

The room was white. Still. Clean.

But Aizawa was not calm.

He stood with his fists clenched so tightly his gloves creaked. Present Mic had one hand on his shoulder, trying to keep him grounded.

"I told them not to put her in that sector," Aizawa said coldly. "It was too exposed."

"It wasn't supposed to be an attack," Mic replied. "She got caught in something bigger."

"That's exactly the problem. She's always in the blast zone."

Your vision blurred.

He looked over.

And when your eyes met—

He broke.

Later, when you could walk, you found him alone in the stairwell.

You reached for him.

He stepped back.

"You almost died."

"I'm fine—"

"You think I care about fine?"

His voice cracked.

"I'm losing my goddamn mind," he growled. "Every time you leave, I don't know if I'll see you again."

You stepped forward. "Then stop pushing me away."

He gritted his teeth.

"You don't get it. If you die out there because of me—because I didn't pull back—I won't survive it."

You whispered, "I'm not a child."

"I know."

"Then stop treating me like your biggest regret."

His breath caught.

Then he grabbed you by the waist.

And kissed you like a man unhinged.
