Things weren't the same after you were almost caught.

Midnight's knowing smirk haunted you. Mic avoided eye contact. And Aizawa... he went cold again. But this time, it wasn't fear or detachment—it was paranoia.

Every hallway glance, every class meeting, every step you took together was calculated. His usual careful demeanor turned into obsessive vigilance. He snapped at students who asked too many questions. He barked at Mic during patrol meetings. You even heard Recovery Girl mutter something about "Aizawa needing a damn nap and a therapy dog."

But you understood.

He was terrified.

Not of punishment.

Of losing you.

"You're spiraling," you told him one night, pushing through his apartment door after a particularly tense week.

He didn't even look up. Just sat on the edge of his bed, elbows on knees, hair falling over his face.

"You shouldn't be here."

You dropped your bag. "Too bad."

"I'm serious."

"So am I."

He looked up, eyes bloodshot. "I'm going to get you expelled. I'm going to get myself fired. This is insanity."

You crossed the room and climbed into his lap, straddling him.

"Then let's be insane together."

He didn't kiss you right away. Just held you. Tight. Like you were the only real thing left.

You kissed his throat, slow. "You've always lived in the dark. Let me be the only secret you enjoy."

That night, he took you slow.

No roughness. No hiding.

Just long, careful movements. Kisses on every inch of your skin. You laid beneath him like a sacred thing, and he worshipped you in silence.

After, he whispered your name like a vow against your shoulder.

And when he fell asleep wrapped around you, you finally admitted something to yourself:

You were falling in love with him.

And it was too late to stop.
