For most people, I can't remember
Much about the day I met them.
I can't remember our first words,
What we were wearing, what I was doing.
For you, I remember everything
In so much detail, it's scary.
The first thing you said to me
Was "Want some candy?"
I was wearing my leather jacket,
And my favourite beanie.
You were in a Pierce The Veil sweater
And jeans, and you looked like heaven.
I was standing, leaning against a pole,
Trying to look cool, hoping to impress you.
I can see the image of that moment,
In my head, full color, full detail,
It's terrifying.
Your expression, what you were doing,
Everything.
Is this the universe's way of saying
That you're worth remembering,
That there's a huge reason for us meeting,
That you're more important than the rest?
I hope so, because I don't know
How I would last without you.
