His Hope (An Eric Love story)

Ch.3- training stage one

(The next day)

"Initiates be down in the pit in 5", Four yelled

Ari's POV

Four yelled for us to get up and get ready then go to the pit so I unwillingly got out of bed and stripped down to my underwear and my bra then I put on my fighting uniform and I waited for Chrissy and Tris to get ready  they take 1 minute and then we walk down towards the pit and once we get there we wait for the others it takes about 4 more minutes for everyone to get there

"Alright there's 3 stages of training the first ones physical push your bodies to the break point the second is emotional you'll be facing your fears the final stage is mental you'll be tested in front of the leaders to start off I want 16 laps around the pit GO", he says/yells

I start running and I'm very fast because I pass everyone up and finish 3 laps before they finish their first so then I keep running hard and finish my 16 laps before everyone because now I'm five laps ahead of them

"Why'd you stop initiate", Eric asked me because he arrived while we were running I guess

"I'm finished", I say

"Oh so you're that far ahead of everyone", he asked accusingly

"Well since I came from Candor I wouldn't lie but yes I'm exactly 5 laps ahead of everyone else but clearly you don't believe me", I say glaring at him

"Alright I was just asking I'm just impressed I didn't think you'd do that good so I guess you can wait for the others

After about 5 minutes everyone's finished and ready for the next step of training

(So I can't remember which comes first the fighting, throwing knives or shooting guns so I'm going to start with shooting guns)

Four then takes is up to a shooting area I guess because there's guns on a stand in front of each target

"So you need to first know how to shoot a gun line up and pick up the gun and aim at the targets now stand like this", Four says while demonstrating the way to stand and how to aim the gun

"Alright start shooting and try to l get closer and closer to the the target now go", he says

I start shooting with Chrissy at the one beside me and Tris is beside Will who we met last night along with Al were all friends now Tris even tried to talk to Four and surprisingly he answered her I think he's going soft for her but I could be wrong either way I shoot and hit it dead in the center I do it again and it goes right beside the other I do this about 6 more times hitting them dead in the middle then Eric comes to where I'm at and whispers in my ear

"You know I personally think that's the best I've seen the past years I've been here which is only 2 years keep it up and you'll definitely become a leader", he whispers sincerely

"Thank you", I whisper back

"No problem", he says then he walks down the row

I can't help but like him a lot of people are scared of him but the way he acts towards me makes me feel special and I've never felt that special and when he comes around me my heart starts pounding out of my chest and I get so flustered I know it's wrong but I'm crushing on Eric and I can't help it of course I won't tell no one I mean people wouldn't look at me the same way either way Will is now talking to Tris telling her that statistically speaking she should've hit the target by now even on accident so she tried again and hit it dead in the center I'm guessing she wasn't trying before either way now she's nailing them right into the center so I continue until Four tells us trainings over for today and we're free to do what we want till dinner
