Chapter 11

Lauren's P.O.V

I was getting ready to leave with the swim team and I was excited because I'll at least have y/n there with me rather than being all by myself. I brought my luggage to the bus and caught a glimpse of y/n shoving her bags in the luggage compartment. I then saw her move to the back and take a window seat and she pulled her headphones over her head. I took a seat up front since the coach said I should be around her if she needs assistance or whatever. I took the window seat and pulled out my phone to reply to any few texts before I heard the coach

"Y/l/n! Up front next to Miss Jauregui please" The coach said to y/n

I looked back and saw the girl next to y/n nudge her arm considering the fact that she had headphones on

"What?" Y/N asked with a look of annoyance evident on her face

"In front. Next to Miss Jauregui" Coach said pointing to the seat next to me

Y/N just looked at me and got up to walk to the front

"Why did I have to move?" She asked the coach once she stood next to her

"Because you're an invitation for trouble and I need Miss Jauregui here to keep an eye on you"

"Oh I'm sure she will" Y/N mumbled as she took a seat and put her headphones back in the same position

The coach patted y/n's shoulder before leaving and y/n just sat there continuing to listen to her music

After a while I felt y/n's head on my shoulder and turned to face her. She was asleep and I looked around to make sure no one noticed. I then slowly lifted her head and carefully put it in place which caused her to wake up

"Sorry" I said softly and she positioned herself before wiping a little drool off her mouth

"Do you have some water?" She asked in a husky voice

"Hold on" I said and rummaged through my bag. "Here you go" I said handing the bottle to her

She opened the cap and drank almost half of it. "Thank you" She said handing it back to me and I put it away

"You want bubblegum?" She asked reaching in her pocket

"Yes please" I lightly laughed and took it from her hand

"I didn't know you were on the swim team" I said after popping the gum into my mouth

"Yeah? Well surprise" She smiled

"I should've guessed. You wouldn't pass a chance to look at girls with perfect bodies in the water"

"You know me so well" She rolled her eyes

"How was your date?" She asked looking at me with a raised eyebrow

"Boring to be honest" I sighed

"I knew it" She giggled. "He's literally the most boring teacher I know"

"Why didn't you warn me?" I said and playfully smacked her arm

"Because...you deserved to be treated good for at least one night" She said softly with a smile

"Oh would you look at that. There is a nice side of you" I said which made her roll her eyes and lightly laugh

"You didn't do the dirty did you?" She asked eyeing me

"No of course not. I barely know the guy" I said quickly

"You didn't know me either" She smirked

"I didn't think you'd be a complete ass"

"I'm sorry" She looked at me with soft eyes

"It's okay. It wasn't forced or anything" I said with a reassuring smile
