" Yeah, we had a movie date. Why do you ask. Please make it snappy. I need to find Finn. " He never came in to work today. I thought he was spending the day with you." "He went to work, I'm absolutely sure. You two came together tonight, weren't you coming from work?" "No I met him here."

"I'll give him a call ." I grab my phone from my jacket pocket, glad I didn't leave it behind in the bar. Just as I'm about to enter his number I remember I never paid the tab. "Excuse me mizz Braden, I need to get back inside. I don't think we paid the bill." "Finn paid it don't worry." "He did?. Okay then."

"Yok, did you speak to Finn at all today? " "Just this morning. Why?" "I could be wrong but I don't think I am. He said Todd was his brother right?. I called the hospital where Todd was, this afternoon. They said he's funeral was today. I asked about the location. They refused to tell me. They said it's for family only. Of course I told them he doesn't have any.

They say he's brother claimed the body and made arrangements. Apparently he was Todd's only family. Finn just admitted to it being him. That means he buried his only brother today. Alone." For what must be the first time in her life, Medusa was quiet.

The reality of the situation hit with a bang. "Finn just experienced the greatest pain of his life and I didn't even know it. How can I claim to love him? I needed to find him." I messaged Mae, "did Finn come around?" " No son. "

I called Finn's phone again. No answer.
"Where could he be? Maybe he went home. I'll try there." "I'll check at the office. There's always someone working on something. I'll call you If I find him." "Thank you mizz Braden. I'll let you know should I find him. " "Okay, but call me Sammy. " She smiled. "It's much easier than Medusa." You knew?" " I did. Now get going Yok. " I didn't need to be told twice.

Finn wasn't at his apartment. Where could he be? I called Phi Sammy. Maybe she knew something by now. She didn't. I chatted with security at his building, asking them to please ask him to call me as soon as he gets in.

I sat on my bike for a few minutes. Undecided and uncertain. I remember the first time we kissed, in the garden and at the boardwalk. Can you be kissed twice as a first time?. How is it possible to miss him already. That night at the boardwalk, just me and him ..... "Wait a minute. The boardwalk. Why didn't I think of that before."

Within five minutes I was making my way to the place we shared a kiss, our first date. The journey then was much more exciting and we were happy. Why does it always take me so long to recognise my happiness. It practically hit me on the head this time.

By the time I reached the boardwalk my legs were to lame to even lift me off my bike. I recognised the fear for what it was. I was scared of losing him. Before finally getting off the bike I send a quick prayer to the Gods above, "Please let Finn be safe."

Then I see him. Standing in the distance. I run to close the gap between us. As I get closer I realise his shoulders are heaving. I recognise sobbing when I see it. "Finn.... "

"Finn forgive me please. I'm sorry." Finally he turns around. My Finn. "I love you teerak. I'm such a fool. Please, please come home with me. "

"Yok. How can you love me. I killed my brother. And Danai might be alive. You can have your first love back. I'm not needed here. I never should have come. And now my bother is dead, because of me."

He stepped pass me then. Preparing to walk away, but I can only be a fool once. "Finn, ....... I won't lose you."

I move as close to him as he will let me and wrap my arms around him. " I won't let anything hurt you again. Not even me." When he tries to push me away, I hold him even tighter. "Please my love. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you today. "

Finally I feel his arms slipping around my back, holding me closer. "You can cry Finn. I'm here "

And cry he did.... Until all that remained were dry sobs and coughing. Rubbing his back I think to myself, "This is the future I want. With Finn. I can only pray that he wants the same."
