Kirby Run Part one and Two

Part Two Chapter Twenty-Nine

"Yes! Well, sort of, he should be at the Cookie Kingdom but he might have gone off with GingerBrave to look elsewhere for his friends. But we can still take you to the Cookie Kingdom, and if they are gone, we'll wait with you until they get back!"

Francisca was delighted to hear that. "That is vun kind of you, I really appreciate it."

She knew she could rest easy now, having found someone who was going to take her to Kirby and friends. Hopefully her sisters and Hyness were with them, if not, then at least she'd now have Kirby to help her search for them.

"No problem! Shall we set sail then? My canoe's not far from here." said Mango Cookie.

"Wait, what about me???!!" Chili Pepper Cookie cried out, gesturing to the ice on her legs.

"Oh right, japologa. Let me take care of that." Francisca apologized, lowering herself and her labrys to Chili Pepper Cookie. Holding it carefully over the thief's legs, she gently tapped the ice with her labrys, causing it to shatter and freeing Chili Pepper Cookie.

Now free, Chili Pepper Cookie happily grinned as she jumped up to stand up strongly. "Ha ha! Now that's more like iiiii- ahh, my legs feel numb!!" she exclaimed as she bent over and held her legs.

"They'll be like that for a few minutes, you'll be fine." Francisca assured her. "Plus we're about to go on a canoe, so it's not like you need to use your legs."

"Gee, thanks." Chili Pepper Cookie glared at her "(*Sigh*) I guess I'll be fine as long as it's smooth sailing."

Mango Cookie smiled. "I assure you Chili Pepper Cookie, from here on out, it's nothing but smooth sails-"

BOOM!

The shockwave from the sudden explosion knocked down Mango Cookie and Chili Pepper Cookie, whilst Francisca managed to stay floated in the air, yet the pushback from the shockwave did blow her back a bit. Screams rang out in the air as several tourists heard and felt the explosion too.

After the dust had settled, Francisca floated over to Chili Pepper Cookie and Mango Cookie. "Merciful heavens, are you two alright??!"

To her relief, Mango Cookie and Chili Pepper Cookie got up, both shaken but seemingly unharmed.

"The heck was that??!!!" Chili Pepper yelled "Did a volcano just erupt?! What was that?!!!"

"I-it can't have been a volcano! Starfruit Island doesn't have any of those!" Mango Cookie stated.

"Help!!!! Fire!!!!" the three heard a Cookie screaming from up ahead "Fire!!! The huts are on fire!!!"

Francisca gasped. "Oh no!" she cried out, flying out in the direction where the beach huts were, Mango Cookie running after her.

"Hey! Wait for me!!" Chili Pepper Cookie yelled, trying to run after them as fast as she could "My legs are still numb!"

Francisca was able to reach the beach huts rather quickly, and once she arrived she was greeted by the horrible sight of several of them being either on fire or just completely blown up. Dozens of the islands's staff were either screaming for help and running around in a panic, or desperately trying to put the fires out.

Arriving at the scene and standing next to Francisca, Mango Cookie let out an audible gasp. "This is awful! Who would do something like this???"

Mango Cookie's question was quickly answered, when several little creatures that looked like durians ran out of huts that were burning, carrying very expensive valuables in their hands and cackling wildly. Some of them were even adding onto the scene's chaos by throwing explosive beach balls.
