Chapter 17: Good Fortune

After spending way too long in the Sugar Gnome Laboratory, making a ridiculous amount of copies of the posters Adeleine had made, it was extremely relieving for Kirby to hear from GingerBrave that the copies were almost done.

Even though it was slightly boring, Kirby did enjoy getting to see the Sugar Gnome Laboratory, observing all of its functions and tools for research, and he did get to meet the leader of the Sugar Gnomes, Maestro Sugar Gnome. Who was excited to meet Kirby and Adeleine, for he was the one who saw and alerted GingerBrave about the vortex that opened up in the sky and dropped off Kirby, Adeleine, and Bandana Dee when they arrived in this world.

After each poster got 20 copies printed, resulting in very large stacks of paper that each Cookie had to help carry, the group left the laboratory, wishing Maestro Sugar Gnome a nice rest of his day.

Wizard Cookie led the way to a part of the kingdom that had a bulletin covered in various types of posters.

"Wow, are those wanted posters?" asked Adeleine.

"Yeah, this bulletin is where we put up bounties for monsters or any dangerous creatures so Cookies that do any bounty hunting or like helping others know who to track down." GingerBrave explained. "But we also sometimes use it to inform others if someone is lost or missing."

While Wizard Cookie analyzed the wanted posters, there was one that caught eye. "Oh no."

Strawberry Cookie furrowed her brow. "Uh oh, what's wrong?"

"Look who got herself in trouble again..."

The party looked at the poster Wizard Cookie was referring to, and saw the poster of a Cookie with a ponytail and holding a pair of curved daggers.

"Oh no, Chili Pepper Cookie?" GingerBrave frowned "What did she do this time?"

Adeleine tilted her head. "Friend of yours?"

"Yes..." Wizard Cookie confirmed, somewhat reluctantly "She's part of our team, so to speak. Though she's helped out in our adventures and with building up the kingdom, she's also a thief and loves having a high bounty."

"Ah she likes stealing stuff?" Kirby commented "Kinda reminds me of Daroach! He also loves to steal things!"

Kirby then took one of the missing posters for Daroach and put it up next to Chili Pepper Cookie's bounty. "Maybe they could be friends!"

"I don't know Kirby, she might she him as competition for stealing valuable stuff." Strawberry Cookie stated.

"That, and I don't know if I want her befriending a fellow thief if that results in them stealing things together." Wizard Cookie sighed.

"Hmm, maybe." Kirby somewhat understood, hopefully depending on when and where Daroach ended up, he hasn't done something to wind up on a wanted poster instead of a missing poster.

Once everyone had put up a copy of each missing poster, they went off to put the remaining copies elsewhere. Strawberry Cookie suggested that they take some copies to the Bear Jelly Village, as on top of the Bear Jellies residing there, traveling Cookies would usually come and go through the village and they sometimes picked up a few things during those visits- said things were usually food, but occasionally they would also find out about some gossip.
