He kissed each of his cheeks in a dramatic display of effection before he moved to my side and placed and arm around my back.

I was confused, surely if Lestat wanted to sleep with Louis, he wouldn't make it so obvious that we were in love.

Still the thought left my mind as he spoke

"Louis, meet Victoria, Victoria meet Louis" He introduced

I smiled as i spoke "Actually, my love, we have already introduced" I said "Back in the club, we exchanged names" I said

"Ah, of course" He said "Anyway, you two should take some time before we eat to get to know each other a little better... i will be entertaining our other guests if you need me, my love" He said

I smiled as he kissed my head and exited the conversation

Lastat, ever the thespian, loved to command a room and who was i to stop him from enjoying himself.

As he walked away, Louis turned to me

"How exactly do you expect me to close my mind?" He hurriedly asked in a whisper

"You were doing it just, i could feel the wall you had up" I explained as we walked into the kitchen, away from the others, and i grabbed us both a glass of wine... well they were both red.

I breathed a sigh of relief as the beverage seemed to take Louis away from the subject of mind blocking for a while.

I decided to start up a topic before he could ask anymore questions about vampires with out even realising it

"So, have you found any encounters now that you have admitted to yourself that you're.. you know?" I whispered as i winked at him

They really should invent a hand signal to talk about being gay it would make it so much easier.

He sighed "Only one person, but no one else in town is really......i feel as if there is something wrong with me" He admitted

My emotions immediately scream out "There is nothing wrong with you" I reassure quickly, almost feeling the need to protect him from believing him wrong "If anything there is something wrong with everyone else" I chuckle "Have you tired asking anyone if they are... you know?"

He shakes his head

"How do you even go about it?" He asked

I shrugged as i sipped my drink "Sometimes you just get a feeling... other times you have to be more direct" I inform, now feeing like an older sister in some twisted way of thinking

"Try asking if lavender grows in their garden" I say "That one seems to get the message across"

He thinks about it for a moment, the subject clearly intriguing him but also making him nervous. I could tell that he hadn't fully accepted that part of himself yet, but he would in time.

"Anyways, enough about me asking dirty questions, i can be civil" I say with a smirk "How is your family doing?" I ask after recalling us talking of our families during our meet up in the park

He shakes his head "Not too good" He admits as i lean against the kitchen table "My brother committed suicide a few weeks ago... my mother blames it on me" He says

I stand up as i take his shoulder in my hold

"Oh, Louis. I am so sorry to hear that. No wonder you were upset the week we met. If there is anything i can do-" I start

"There is nothing" He breathes "Unless you can convince my own Mother not to hate me"

I sigh as i shake my head
