Just as i am about to start retelling the next part of my life, Daniel starts making a lot of noise as he flicks through his notes.
I pause as i watch him.
"I don't remember this" He mutters into the paper "I don't remember Louis ever telling me of meeting you like this" He says as he looks up to see me watching him "i thought i had gotten every piece of information out of him- he told me he had finally been truthful-"
I sigh as i sit back
"I told Louis never to speak of it...I knew the consequences of us meeting- the way we spoke of Lestat... He would have killed us both"
I trail of, Daniel and i knowing that Lestat never would have killed Louis and i. He wanted us to himself and he would kill us because that ment he couldn't have us, but the promise i made Louis conform to was still valid.
I told Louis to promise not to talk of us much to anyone. If Lestat ever got word of it he might not have killed us but that wouldn't mean he wouldn't lock us away for a good century to punish us.
"When i first met Louis, back at the brothel, i had been distracted. I had focused my attention on Lestat... and some on Miss Lucy, but mostly the blonde vampire that was sitting beside me at the time. I consider my first meeting with Louis to be that night, in the rain, as he held his umbrella over me..."
...
"May i sit?" The dark haired man asked.
I looked away from him and ahead once more before i nodded
"I guess you had better... you're going to get soaking if you don't join me under the umbrella" I said
He did as i said and then we sat in silence for a moment.
The rhythmic sound of the rain hitting the fabric above our heads drowned out the silence and almost made the gap in conversation feel... soothing.
We just sat in eachother company for a while, until he opened his mouth to speak.
"I don't feel we properly introduced ourselves when we first met" He said "I'm Louis-"
"Louis de Pointe du Lac... i know who you are" I said as I turned my head towards him "Lestat speaks highly of you" I said with no emotion
"Really?" He asks "Because i was about to say how he speaks highly of you"
I let out a laugh as my body gives away my shock
"What's so funny?" The man asked "Anyone i know would be glad to hear their husband speaking highly of them-"
"We're not married" I said as i cut him off
He gives me a strange look "You're not?" He asked "But Lestat said you-"
"Lestat wishes that he could pin me down but he has never succeeded" I say as i glance at Louis
We both, unintentionally, smile at eachother at my words before i clear my throat.
"I assume that you like him... you two have been to gambling matches together, theatre shows-"
"I was never a fan of theatre" He cut me off and it didn't go unnoticed to me how he avoided my question
It was quiet as his deflection hung in the air. Water dripped off the side of the umbrella between us- landing in puddles.
"Lestat likes theatre- you should pretend, at least for a while. And he loves Music, don't even get me started on his obsession with-"
"What are you doing?" He asked me, cutting me off
