**Chapter 5: A New Path Forward**

The sun was high in the sky by the time Y/N and Luka arrived at the park. Marinette was already there, pacing slightly as she waited for them. When she spotted Y/N, her face brightened, and she hurried over.

“I’ve been thinking,” Marinette said, her voice full of excitement. “If you’re going to stay in this world, you’ll need a proper identity.”

Y/N tilted her head. “What do you mean?”

Marinette pulled out a notebook filled with sketches, notes, and ideas. “I mean, we can create a new backstory for you, one that will make sense to everyone here.” She flipped through the pages. “I’ve already thought of a name, a school, and even a connection to some people so no one questions where you came from.”

Y/N was stunned by Marinette’s thoroughness. “You’ve done all this… for me?”

Marinette grinned. “Of course! You’re my twin, remember? I want to help.”

Luka chuckled. “You should know by now, Marinette doesn’t do anything halfway.”

Y/N felt warmth spread through her chest. Despite being in a completely different world, she wasn’t alone. She had people looking out for her. “Thank you, Marinette. I don’t know how to repay you.”

Marinette waved a hand. “Just promise me you’ll try to be happy here.”

Y/N nodded, a real smile forming on her lips. “I will.”

As they continued discussing the details of her new identity, Y/N felt a strange sense of peace settle over her. Maybe, just maybe, this world could truly be her home.

Later that evening, Y/N sat on the rooftop of Marinette’s house, gazing at the Paris skyline. The city lights twinkled below, reminding her of the stars back in her original world. Luka joined her, quietly sitting beside her.

“You okay?” he asked gently.

Y/N sighed. “It’s just… strange. I never imagined my life would take this turn. A few days ago, I was just trying to survive in my own world, and now… I have a twin, a new identity, and a place where people actually care about me.”

Luka smiled softly. “Sometimes, life has a way of surprising us. Maybe this is where you were always meant to be.”

She turned to look at him, her heart skipping a beat at the sincerity in his gaze. “Do you really think so?”

He nodded. “Yeah. And no matter what happens, I’ll be here to help you figure things out.”

The wind blew gently around them, carrying the scent of fresh pastries from the nearby bakery. In that moment, Y/N felt something she hadn’t felt in a long time—hope.
