**Chapter 3: A New Reality**
Y/N sat quietly in Marinette’s room, the warmth of the cozy space contrasting the turmoil in her mind. Marinette paced back and forth, occasionally glancing at her as if trying to process the situation. Luka leaned against the wall, arms crossed, his expression unreadable.
“So let me get this straight,” Marinette finally spoke, her blue eyes locked onto Y/N. “You come from another world, a completely different universe, and somehow got transported here by accident?”
Y/N nodded. “That’s the best explanation I’ve got right now. I don’t remember much before the portal appeared.”
Luka pushed off the wall, stepping closer. “And you’re saying in your world, I... I died?” His voice was calm, but there was an underlying weight to his words.
Y/N hesitated before nodding. “Yes. That’s why, when I saw you here, alive, I—” She paused, looking away. “It was overwhelming.”
Silence filled the room. Marinette exchanged a glance with Luka, concern etched onto her face. “This is a lot to take in,” she admitted. “But if you’re really stuck here, we need to figure out what to do next.”
Y/N clenched her hands into fists. “I don’t want to be a burden. If I have to start over here, I will. I just... I don’t want to lose the people I care about again.”
Luka took a deep breath, his blue eyes softening. “You’re not alone in this,” he assured her. “We’ll figure it out together.”
Marinette nodded firmly. “We’ll start by keeping this between us for now. The last thing we need is for Hawk Moth to find out there’s someone with knowledge of another world.”
Y/N’s heart pounded at the mention of Hawk Moth. “You mean... he’s still around here?”
Marinette sighed. “Unfortunately, yes. And if he realizes you have abilities like mine, he’ll definitely try to use you.”
Y/N shivered at the thought. “Then we better make sure that doesn’t happen.”
Luka smiled gently. “Agreed. But for now, you should get some rest. You’ve been through a lot.”
Y/N looked at them both, a warmth filling her chest. Maybe, just maybe, she had found a place where she belonged.
To be continued…
