Kirby Run Part one and Two

Part Two Chapter Twenty-Eight

"Like this banana!" GingerBrave exclaimed with a sunny expression, holding up a banana with the hand that wasn't holding his candy cane "Here you go Kirby."

Kirby smiled widely as he took the banana from GingerBrave and started unpeeling it so he could eat it.

"Poyo! Thank you GingerBrave!"

"Shall we head over to meet with Olive Cookie then?" Strawberry Cookie suggested, to which everyone agreed, and thus they all made their way out of the inn.

The five of them ventured down through the kingdom's residential area, being careful not to make any noise as they went past some of the Cookie Houses, since while a few Cookies had gotten up early for work purposes, there were still plenty who were sound asleep at this hour. By the time they reached Adventure Cookie and Blackberry Cookie's place, Kirby had finished eating his banana, including the peel- which Wizard Cookie found weird.

Adventure Cookie and Blackberry Cookie's house- which looked more like a mansion, albeit a bit eerie- showed no signs that any of the Cookies residing inside were awake, yet when the five Cookies walked up the small steps that led to the front door there was a faint sound of various kitchen utensils being used coming from inside.

Despite that, GingerBrave made the decision to gently knock on the door instead of ringing the doorbell. Once he was done knocking he and the rest of the party stood there to wait patiently, Kirby making the most of it by looking at the place's details. He noticed there was a lot of spooky themed decor around, meaning either Adventurer Cookie or Blackberry Cookie were really into Halloween type aesthetics.

About a minute or two of waiting, the door was finally answered by Blackberry Cookie, whom everyone politely greeted upon seeing.

"Morning Blackberry Cookie!" GingerBrave waved.

Kirby excitedly waved too, even saying his signature "Haii!!" greeting.

"GingerBrave, other guests, greetings. Good morning to you all as well." Blackberry Cookie addressed them all "What brings you here? We don't usually expect guests at this hour."

"Yes, we apologize for the sudden early visit, but is Olive Cookie available? We need to see her about something." Wizard Cookie requested.

"Ms. Olive Cookie is currently in our guest room, though I am unsure if she's asleep or not. If this is an urgent matter however, I can check to see if she's awake and inform her of your presence, if you wish."

Adeleine adjusted the golf bag a bit. "Well it's not urgent, but it is kinda important."

"Very well, I will see what I can do." said Blackberry Cookie "Now if you'll excuse me, I must resume making breakfast for the four of us. I shall send for Ms. Olive Cookie for you all first though."

Kirby was going to say thank you to the maid, but something about what she said befuddled him. Four of us? Did Adventurer Cookie and Blackberry Cookie have another guest besides Olive Cookie? The others had started chatting with Blackberry Cookie about what breakfast she was making, which he would have listened in on, but the curiosity about the mansion got the better of him and he peeked inside through the door while Blackberry still held it open.

While looking inside, Kirby had caught sight of a small purple haired Cookie in a white nightgown, but just as quickly as he had seen her, she immediately vanished! Kirby blinked, did they just imagine that??

The breakfast conversation didn't last very long, as Blackberry Cookie had to attend to said breakfast, but she left with some kind words and promised once again to see if Olive Cookie was available.

"Have a nice day everyone." she said before closing the door "Take care."

Everyone waved goodbye and thank you to Blackberry Cookie as she closed the door behind her, then proceeded to wait to see if Olive Cookie would show up like they all hoped. Four minutes went by and sure enough, the door was finally opened again, this time by the Cookie everyone was hoping to see, Olive Cookie- who clearly hadn't been fully ready for the day, as she was still wearing cozy looking pajamas and robe.
