Chapter 11 - Moving On

"Look" Noah said,

"Are you just saying that to prevent this argument or for a genuine reason?" I asked,

"Look and you'll find out" All our heads turned to the window,

"Whoa" Arii said "If that's the outside then what's the inside going to be like?"

Explaining the luxury would be impossible, you'd have to see it to believe it. We'd managed to find the Nix's apartment, well; we hoped it was the Nix's apartment. I knocked on the door, it was opened a few minutes later by a man dressed in a classy suit, he had sharp features but soft and welcoming eyes,

"Are you Mr Nix?" I asked,

"Indeed I am and you are?"

"I'm Keane, this is my brother Noah and my sister Arii, we are Joey and Rhina Linkoln's children"

"Oh my...come in, please come in"

"Harvey who is it?" a female voice called,

"Joey and Rhina's children" She came into view, she was very beautiful,

"My, they do look like them" she said,

"This is our brother Tayte" I then said,

"Nice to meet you"

"Brother, I thought you only had one"

"He's our adopted brother" Tayte smiled,

"And this is my boyfriend" Noah said,

"Oh"

"Oh no...it's illegal here isn't it, I'm going to be hung, I'm going to die. This is it, this is the end"

"You are safe here my dear" She smiled,

"I'm Harvey and this is my wife Donna" Harvey said, "I'm guessing that you being here means that your parents are indeed missing"

"Unfortunately yes they are, when did you last see them?" I asked, they made us sit down,

"A few weeks back they were here, stayed the night and left"

"How well do you know them?"

"They were stationed here for a year and a half; we got to know them very well"

"Are you spies to?" Arii asked,

"No, we work for the agency but do other things" Harvey said,

"May I ask what happened to you?" Donna said to me,

"I was shot and then attacked a few months later" I replied,

"Oh my, I'm sorry"

"Me too" I answered,

"How long are you staying for?" Harvey asked,

"Not long, I don't want to be anywhere where my family isn't welcome" I replied,

"You can stay with us as long as you need. We will tell you what you need to know" Donna said,

"Thank you but..."

"Keane, it's been a long day, I suggest we at least stay for one night" Angelo said,

So that was what we did. The Nix's were a lovely couple, they were very welcoming, they cooked us a feast of typical Arabic cuisine and then let us do our own thing. Noah wanted to go out, I didn't want him to, in the end Angelo talked me down and him, Noah and Arii went out, Tayte said he'd stay with me, I knew what was coming. I was sat outside on the balcony that looked out at many of the extravagant buildings.
