She stares at me for a moment and then sighs, "Okay. I guess school work is important. Just make sure to get your butt ready and get over there on time."
I quickly nodded at her, muttering something about getting ready before hurrying up the stairs. My feelings of relief were practically sucked out of me as it dawned on me the situation I'd just put myself in.
This is gonna be a long day.

I groaned as my phone dinged once again. It was fucking Saturday so who the fuck was messaging me this damn early? It was probably Kile just because he likes to be an annoying ass.
It went off once again and I finally gave in, growling as I reached over and grabbed it, the light from the screen blinding me for a moment. Across the screen were five messages:
Bet Girl: You up yet?
Bet Girl: Mathew?
Bet Girl: I have something important to tell you and, as much as I hate it, I know you'll like it.
Bet Girl: Answer me!
Bet Girl: Fine. I'm coming over in half an hour.
At first, I was unphased and then I quickly re-read the last part before hopping out of bed. Why'd she change her mind?
I shook my head, deciding not to focus on that as I pulled a shirt over my head after ensuring it smelt at least nice and then pulled on some jeans. Quickly running my hands through my hair, I did a couple other things to get ready before heading down the stairs.
There was this weird energy running through me right now, the type that made me want to race into the woods and shift. However, that feeling was quickly suffocated as I heard a conversation in the kitchen. I figured my parents would be gone by now but clearly not.
"I'm gonna be heading out to the border with Sera and Luke today to ensure that the scents of the Kados pack are completely gone," my dad's voice drifted from the kitchen.
"I can come with you," Jason's voice jumps in.
"Alright, and while we're out there, I want to talk to you about your friend that helped us," my dad adds, something changing in his tone. I let my steps halt, listening in for a moment.
"What are you talking about?"
"I'm not blind, Jase. I saw how you interacted with her, you know her and I want to know why you're keeping that from me and how you even know her. Who the fuck is this girl and how is she strong enough to take down an Alpha in their prime?"
So he did know who she was. Was that why she helped us?
There was silence for a long time before Jason sighed, "We've known each other for a long time Dar-."
"Don't start with that bullshit. We have known each other for a long time but that was before you went off and vanished for a whole decade. And now you show up and know a wolf that strong?"
"Did that have something to do with her?" My mom's voice came into the conversation, clear sympathy showing in it.
Another long pause of silence followed before Jason responded, "I'm sorry, but I can't give you information on her. The reason that I don't want her near yours or Jerome's packs is because danger follows her. Allowing her to affiliate with a pack would only lead to endangering more people."
"She's the strongest wolf I have ever seen and she's just a kid. She's around the same age as Mathew for fuck sakes, and you act like she's a monster," my dad snapped at him.
