Chapter18: And I think you two are infuriating nuisances but that's just my opinion

I dropped my headphones around my neck as I came up to my locker, both Alphas waiting like sentinels next to it. "Do I really have to point out that waiting here only gives you a few extra moments with me?"

"I can't help wanting to spend every second with you," Mathew smirks and I just gave him a blank look, opening my locker and blocking my view of him. It didn't take long for it to sway a bit as he leaned against it.

"And did you ever consider that I might not want to spend every second with you?"

He sardonically chuckles, "Be honest, you'd be bored without me."

"I've been doing pretty well without you my whole life this far."

"But I'm sure life has been more interesting since you met me."

"Not the word I would use for it," I muttered, feeling the dry look he bore into the back of my head.

Felix seemed to find that as the perfect time to speak up, "I think that's her way of telling you to fuck off."

"If she was going to, she'd just say that."

"He's actually right. For once," I added while shutting my locker and looking at the two of them. Mathew didn't seem to know if he should look smug or offended but Felix settled on glaring at me.

"You should just tell his irritating ass to fuck off."

"She should tell you to fuck off."

I rolled my eyes, starting down the hall, "I should tell both of you to fuck off since clearly you can't pick up on signals."

They both quickly followed after me, clearly not getting my underlying message.

"You know, I could prove to you just how much fun I am. All I need is a couple-."

"All you need is to fuck off."

"Do you have any other comeback?"

"Fine, you want it another way? Take a hint and piss off."

"Wasn't there some rule about you two doing this?" I interrupted, causing their eyes to snap to me. Mathew's lips were parted but then he rolled his eyes, shutting his mouth. Felix just glared at me like usual.

"If anyone can show you a good time, it's me."

Mathew scoffs before I can respond, "The only thing spending time with you will do, is get her in trouble."

"You say that like it's less likely around you."

"I-."

"You guys act like I'm some goody-two-shoes," I jumped in, rolling my eyes.

Now their attention was fully on me, Mathew laughing a bit, "Are you saying you're some kind of rebel?"

"You literally met me for the first time, in jail."

He seemed to think about it for a moment before shaking his head, "That's not the same thing. Almost every teenager has gone to jail for a party."

"That seems really fucked up," I muttered, making his expression falter a bit. "But I also almost got detention my first week-."

"That was because of Tyler," Felix jumped in.

"Okay, but I've also..." I trailed off before shaking my head at myself, "I don't know why I'm even trying to prove this to either of you."
