Back on the Massive...
The Tallest were extremely infuriated due to the lack of patrols in the hallways of the ship and in every sector. They scolded one of their navigators, along with several Irkens on board, for their repeated failures in locating Zim.
"You're all lucky I don't throw you into the airlock right now," Red snarled, his tone cold and commanding. "But I need people to operate this ship. Consider this your last warning: if you fail one more time, there will be punishments waiting for every single one of you in this room. Do you understand?"
The navigators and Irkens nodded furiously, their fear evident as they silently vowed not to fail again. Taking their leader's words seriously, they immediately doubled the patrols and strengthened the security systems. The Irkens filed out of the control room, returning to their assigned posts, except for the navigators, who remained at their stations to manage the ship.
"That was one heck of a lecture!" Purple commented, sipping his Slurpee.
"They needed it," Red replied. "They got lucky once, but it won't happen again. Especially not that defective Zim! Miyuki help me, I can't stand his voice. It drives me insane, hearing that obnoxious, maniacal laugh of his. 'I put the fires out! Worse or better?' Ugh, so irritating."
Red mimicked Zim's voice with exaggerated disdain. Purple nodded in agreement, chuckling. "Yeah! Don't forget how he talks in the third person all the time. 'IT IS I, ZIM! YOU SHALL BOW BEFORE HIM!' He's so loud, it drives everyone on board nuts."
The Tallest leaned back in their chairs, gazing out the windows at the stars streaking by. Every now and then, they destroyed planets that happened to cross their path, but their thoughts remained on Zim. They both longed to capture him again. This time, they swore, his prison would be inescapable—tightly secured and utterly foolproof. Escape would be impossible, even for someone as unpredictable as Zim.
Somewhere in space, aboard Zim's ship...
"What are we going to do now, Master?" GIR asked, his voice as grating as ever.
Zim clenched his fists as GIR broke into yet another chorus of the Doom Song.
"Be quiet, GIR! I have a plan," Zim growled, shooting a glare at his malfunctioning robot. "I'm heading to the mysterious planet the Tallest assigned to Tak. That arrogant girl stole my mission, and she thinks she'll get away with it. But she's mistaken! SHE WILL FACE THE WRATH OF ZIM!"
Zim thrust his fists into the air, shaking with fury. GIR, oblivious, continued singing the Doom Song, much to his master's frustration. Zim sighed in defeat, resigning himself to endure the robot's antics as their ship hurtled toward the planet.
"I hope this trip doesn't take long..." Zim muttered, but deep down, he knew it was going to be longer than he'd hoped.
Meanwhile, back on Earth...
Dib placed his backpack into the closet. He liked to keep his room open and uncluttered, allowing space to pace around and think.
"Let me guess—you're going to your girlfriend's house?" came a teasing voice from the doorway.
Dib turned sharply to see his sister, Gaz, leaning against the frame with a smirk.
"As a matter of fact, I am. Just for a bit, though," Dib replied, his tone confident.
"Alright. Just make sure you wear protection," Gaz quipped, walking away with a laugh.
"Yeah, I'll wear prot—" Dib froze mid-sentence, his face turning a deep red as the implication hit him. "GAZ MEMBRANE, YOU DIRTY-MINDED GIRL! I'M NOT EVEN UP TO THAT STEP YET!"
Gaz's laughter echoed down the hall. "You will be eventually! Just remember to make good choices!"
"GAZ! I can't with you sometimes!" Dib shouted, still blushing furiously.
When the house fell silent again, Dib let out a sigh and flopped onto his bed, staring at the ceiling. His thoughts wandered to Tak. "I'm really into her. I can't get her out of my head. I want her to be everything to me. She completes me... and I bet she feels the same way about me. Together, we could have such a bright future."
After a few minutes of reflection, Dib left his room, headed downstairs, and walked out the door to visit Tak.
At Tak's house...
"Mistress, I must remind you: your choices will have consequences," Mimi said with her usual concerned tone. "No matter what you decide, your actions will shape your future."
"Mimi, I understand completely," Tak replied, throwing her hands up in frustration. "But I don't know if I want to destroy this planet anymore. I... I still think about that human boy."
Mimi's expression turned to shock. "What do you mean, you don't know? Are you saying you're siding with this human and his pitiful planet instead of your leaders? The Tallest tasked you with destroying this world, not forming a bond with its inhabitants!"
"Don't give me that, Mimi! It's not my fault that human boy invaded my heart," Tak shot back. "He's like me in a way—disregarded by his own kind, just as I was by mine. We're both outcasts. And yes, I've achieved things in the empire, but I was never truly accepted. He's the same. He's made accomplishments, but he's laughed at for them."
Tak took a deep breath, her voice softening. "I'm sorry, Mimi, but I have feelings for him. I love him. If he finds out I'm an alien, I'll tell him the truth—that I was tasked with destroying his planet but changed my mind. Because for the first time, I feel free here. Free from the dictatorship of the Tallest."
Mimi stared at her in stunned silence, but before she could respond, there was a knock at the door.
"I'm coming!" Tak called. She composed herself and opened the door to see Dib standing there.
"Please, come in," she said warmly. Dib stepped inside, and as Tak closed the door, the two settled in for their time together.
