I Certainly Have Behaved

Everything seems amazing,
Yet I still live in fear.
How am I still gazing,
I can't take the wheel and steer.

Why won't the monster in my dreams,
Show itself?
Does it not see the streams,
That are caused with so little stealth.

I'm not alone,
Yet that's what I feel when I walk to my room.
I found a stone,
But I'm afraid it's going to foredoom.

My life I've seen,
Flash before my eyes.
I am afraid of the scene,
Of what it might symbolize.

I'm not afraid,
Of the life it determines.
It's the way it's protrayed,
And no you can't help with sermons.

I'm afraid of death,
I'm afraid to grow old.
I'm afraid of each and every breath,
I'm afraid of the bitter cold.

Is it possible to save me,
From my thoughts and fears?
Can I be set free,
Forever through the years?

I mean this with the most sincerity,
For you to hear.
I'm speaking with a new found clarity,
Up on the top tier.

Is it fortuitous,
To be saved?
It's only circuitous,
And I certainly have behaved.
