The cloaked figure hummed. "You're not wrong..."

The two kept traversing until they arrived at some shelter, which was another cave that was somewhat similar to the one Meta Knight had rested at prior, but this one was a lot more hidden from view and the interior was a lot more spacious.

Once inside, Meta Knight could faintly see within the cave that there were various bags of supplies, as well as an unlit campfire within the center.

"Do you live here?"

"I travel around a lot. Thus I reside wherever I am able to."

Meta Knight hummed as the cloaked figure set him beside the campfire. In the corner of his eye, Meta Knight could see movement within the shadows approaching him. Initially, he was worried it was something hostile, but that assumption gladly turned out to be false, for it was the family of chestnut hedgehogs he had saved, gleefully scurrying toward him.

The two fully grown hedgehogs and their three little hoglets tried to get up on him and lick his face, but they just ended up licking his mask.

Meta Knight chuckled, gently giving the hedgehogs little pets, managing to not get poked by their spikes.

"Looks like they appreciate you saving them." said the cloaked figure.

Meta Knight looked at him. How did he know about that?

"Have you been following me?"

"Perhaps." the cloaked stranger answered as he brought out some flint to ignite the campfire "I did see a mysterious figure fall down from the sky about two days ago, and I might have been curious about that."

"Oh." Meta Knight responded. Right, not much he could do about that if someone saw him appear from a portal into this world.

"I also overheard you calling out some names from atop a tree, were you trying to find some friends?"

Meta Knight sighed. He knew the risk of him trying to do that would result in someone else hearing him, and it looked like that was the case. At the very least, the one who overheard him seemed to be nice.

"Yes, I got separated from my allies and friends, and now I'm trying to find them."

"I see."

The cloaked figure managed to spark up some flames, igniting the campfire as it lit up and not only illuminated the cave, but also filled Meta Knight with warmth.

"Ahhhh, that feels better."

The hedgehogs seemed happy about the warmth too.

As Meta Knight enjoyed the fire, the cloaked figure walked over to him. "May I take a look at your wing?"

Staring at him, unable to read his face through his hood, Meta Knight complied and spread out his hurt wing as much as he could before it started to hurt. "I would appreciate that, yes."

Gently holding onto his wing, the cloaked figure inspected it. "Given your unusual shape for a Cookie, and how you came from the sky, I'm guessing you and the friends you're looking for are not from this world."

"Hm, is it that obvious? (So this is a Cookie world, hmm...)"

"I don't mean to pry, I was simply curious."

"It's fine, yes me and my comrades are from another world. The name's Meta Knight."

The cloaked figure hummed, and kept inspecting Meta Knight's wing, noticeably holding it very close up to his face. "Well Meta Knight, your wing has sustained some pretty bad damage, I don't know how long it'll take to heal, but I should be able to patch it up a bit, that'll help at the very least."

"Thank you, I appreciate it."

Heading back to the other side of the campfire, the cloaked figure opened up the bag he had been carrying.

"Let's see, I should have some tools to clean and stitch up that wound, as well as some bandages. Oh, also..."

He brought out the leeks Meta Knight had tried to harvest. "I noticed you dropped these, would you like me to cook them for you?"

Meta Knight's stomach growled. "Mmm, yes I would appreciate that as well."

"Very well, I'll get a meal going once I've patched your wound up."

"Thank you." Meta Knight told him, continuing to pet the hedgehogs "And thanks again for coming to my aid, it was very honorable of you. May I have your name?"

The cloaked figure looked up from his bag and stared at Meta Knight. A second later, he put his stubby Cookie hands on his hood and began to pull it back.

"Oh that won't be necessary." Meta Knight interrupted him "Believe me, I can understand wanting to conceal your face."

Meta Knight tapped his mask. "So you don't have to remove your hood if you don't want to."

"Thanks, but it's fine." the cloked figure told him as he finished pulling his hood back and revealed his face.

The face Meta Knight saw was a pretty distinguishable one, with the most striking feature- a part from the black hair with white streaks- being the scar that went vertically across his left eye, which remained closed. Unlike his right eye, which was colored a deep red.

"My name is Dark Choco Cookie."
