Part Two Chapter Twenty-Two

"Ah you know Princess Cookie, hm? You friends with her?"

"Mm, she's more of a rival, but I guess you could say that."

The mention of a small rivalry did intrigue Magolor, but he didn't care enough to ask for more info. "Well good on you for having some inside information. Let's see then, you bet quite a lot! 900 coins! Not only do you get those back, but since you bet so much..."

After Magolor took out the 900 coins, he grabbed not one, but two Gem Apples from the basket. "You get two Gem Apples! Lucky you!"

With a huge smirk on her face, Raspberry Cookie took her coins back, and grabbed the two Gem Apples from him. "Thank you, even though this had nothing to do with sparing, I do enjoy my victories."

"Yes, congrats to you." said Magolor, he then looked at the other Cookies "And that's all for the victors! For the rest of you who betted on GingerBrave... tough luck I guess."

The seven Cookies who had placed bets on GingerBrave all collectively went "Aww..."

"Welp, there goes 1200 coins." Vampire Cookie sighed.

"I told you not to bet that many!" Alchemist Cookie criticized her brother.

"Hey you betted coins too!"

"Only because you somehow convinced me to! I don't what I was thinking listening to you-"

"Settle down everyone!" Magolor called out to all of them "Fear not, for you are not going home empty handed, as for just participating in this little bet, I will be giving you... these!"

Magolor held up several small slips of paper that had been resting in his pocket for a long time now, but finally had a use again. The slips of paper having a pattern that had his face on it.

"These are special Magolor Coupons! Use them on your next purchase of a Gem Apple, and you'll get a huge discount!"

He held out the coupons to the seven Cookies. "What do you say to that?"

They all stared at him for a moment, a bit unsure how to respond.

"...you know what? I'll take it." Sparkling Cookie spoke up "At least it's something."

"Yeah, I'm fine with this too." Beet Cookie agreed "I'll take a coupon, sure!"

After the seven of them grabbed a coupon from Magolor, they all said their thanks and started leaving, along with Raspberry Cookie and Clover Cookie.

"Farewell. Thank you for the coupon." said Ninja Cookie.

"Thank you again!" Clover Cookie waved goodbye.

"Let's do this again sometime!" Macaroon Cookie smiled as she left.

Magolor waved at everyone as they walked off. (I don't think we'll be doing another one of these races.) he thought (I mean, we have to get back home at some point! But if we somehow have to stay longer, then I guess another one of these would be fine, after all... I just made a fortune!)

Once those ten Cookies were gone, Magolor floated out of the Shoppe and brushed his hands. Prune Juice Cookie then stepped up, having watched from the sidelines.

"See how well that went?" Magolor gloated "Not only did I only have to give away three Gem Apples, I also got to hand out coupons to encourage those Cookies to come back and buy some Gem Apples, AND I got to keep 2,350 coins!"

Magolor mischievously giggled as he took the remaining coins from the betting bag and put them in his- now quite big- coin pouch.

"Not bad, I'm almost jealous." Prune Juice Cookie smirked "But there was one bet you forgot about."
