Kirby Run Part one and Two

Part Two Chapter Twenty-One

"Yes, they shall be arriving soon," said Prophet Cookie, cleaning his crystal ball with a cloth "But I'm not saying anything else!"

"So who did you bet on?" Magolor overheard Sparkling Cookie ask a Cookie named Gumball Cookie.

"Ah, Ginger Brave of course! I challenged him to a race once, and he won despite my hardcore skills! So he can definitely win this!"

"Nice, I placed a bet on GingerBrave too. I have a strong feeling he'll win this."

Nervously, Magolor grabbed the remaining popcorn he had, and anxiously ate it.

"Something wrong Magolor?" asked Herb Cookie, Elfilin looking concerned as well.

"No, nothing is wrong, I am fine." Magolor answered, chewing his popcorn nervously "I am fine. (Please Kirby, you gotta win this! I'm gonna lose a lot of Gem Apples if you don't!)"

Prune Juice Cookie looked at him, then looked back at the kingdom's entrance. His expression unreadable.

Maestro Sugar Gnome smoothed his beard, when he saw something that made his brow perk up. "Oh? Is that... it is! Here they come!"

Everyone looked out and saw Kirby and GingerBrave running fast towards the kingdom, the two were still neck and neck.

The audience started cheering in an uproar for the two of them. "Go GingerBrave!" some would say, while others said "Go Kirby! Go!"

"Come on Kirby! Please!! Go go go!" Magolor shouted, waving his hands frantically.

"Go on Kirby, you can do it!" Adeleine exclaimed.

"Go GingerBrave! Go!" Wizard Cookie shouted.

"Wait, where's King Dedede?" Avocado Cookie asked when she saw Dedede wasn't approaching with Kirby and GingerBrave "Did he fall behind?"

"Hey don't count our Great King out yet!" the orangest Waddle Dee told her "He'll make it!"

"Yeah, I'm sure he will!" Custard Cookie III agreed "As a fellow royal, I have faith in him, he'll catch up! (I hope...)"

The finish line was just a few feet ahead of Kirby and GingerBrave, a few more sprints and either one would win. Both of them looked at each other with a competitive smile as they ran forward to the goal.

Adeleine continued to cheer encouraging words for Kirby, when she saw something that made her stop.

"Uhh, is that Dedede???"

Everyone else noticed what she saw, all of them having very stunned reactions.

"Oh my! Dedede's coming in fast!" Maestro Sugar Gnome exclaimed.

The crowd's cheering now had a mixture of surprised hollering about Dedede, which GingerBrave and Kirby could both hear, causing them to turn their heads around to see what they were talking about. Their eyes widening upon doing so.

"Look out!!!!!" Dedede yelled as he kept running at them at an uncontrollable speed.

Kirby and GingerBrave both made a yelp sound when they saw Dedede approaching fast, and did their best to gain more speed in hopes Dedede wouldn't zoom past them and take the lead.

The two did their best to stay ahead- while also trying to take the lead from each other- the crowd kept frantically shouting words like "Go GingerBrave!" or "Come on Kirby!" or "You can do it Great King! Go go go!!!" and Dedede was quickly approaching his opponents.

The finish line was just up ahead, and GingerBrave and Kirby both knew with the speed Dedede suddenly had, it was very likely he was going to take the lead if neither of them could gain a good lead. Kirby thought this might not end well. If only he could do his rolls, then he might be able to take the lead.
