Kirby Run Part one and Two

Part Two Chapter Twenty-One

The soda did help hydrate him a bit, which did fill him with enough energy to pick up the pace and soon he managed to reach both Kirby and GingerBrave, and was now running alongside them.

"He ha, looks like we're all neck and neck now huh?" Dedede said to the two, even though Kirby technically didn't have a neck.

"Not for long!" GingerBrave smirked as he ran ahead of the two and grabbed something lined up next to the food, a Blast Jelly. Immediately GingerBrave took it, powering him up and giving him a huge speed boost as he zoomed way ahead of both Kirby and King Dedede, both of them staring wide eyed once that happened.

Once the power-up had worn off, GingerBrave looked behind him as he kept running. "Haha- uh oh!"

He was so focused on running ahead and gaining the lead, he had run past several food items he could have easily grabbed. One of which was another giant Bear Jelly.

"Haha! Jokes on you!" Dedede called out as he ran forward and picked up three of the food items he missed. As was about to pick up the fourth one- that being the giant Bear Jelly- however, Kirby beat him to it and managed to outrun him and get it instead.

"Poyo!" Kirby happily laughed as he ate up the giant Bear Jelly he just grabbed, and continued to run ahead and grab several more foods.

"Kirby!!! That was mine!!!" Dedede grumpily shouted and darted after him.

The next area the three reached was the Bear Jelly Village, which they all quickly ran through, the Bear Jelly Prince waving hi as the three ran by.

"Hiiiii GingerBrave! Byeeeeeeee GingerBrave! Hiiiiii pink buddy from yesterdaaaaaaay! Byeeeeee pink buddy from yesterdaaaaaaaay! Hiiiiii random straaaanger! Byeeeeee random straaaaaanger!"

(Could I at least have been called a royal looking random stranger?) Dedede thought as he ran past the Bear Jelly Prince.

Right outside the Bear Jelly village was another power-up related item within the food, a Life Potion.

GingerBrave thought about picking it up for himself, but looking behind him he could see that Kirby was getting a little worn out. So even though it would have given him an advantage, he ran past the Life Potion so Kirby could grab it.

"Here ya go buddy!" GingerBrave called out behind him.

Kirby made a happy noise, running up and grabbing the Life Potion.

"Thank you GingerBrave!" he called back, sipping up the Life Potion and running to catch up to GingerBrave once he was done.

"Hey Dedede, there's another Life Potion up ahead if you want it!" GingerBrave yelled over to Dedede, who was just behind Kirby.

"Nah, I don't need no potion!" the king hollered back to him "Not when I got this!"

Dedede then pulled out the second soda he had, removing the lid and drinking it. This one tasted like grapes.

The race continued, and the most notable thing to happen next was Kirby and GingerBrave seeing not just one giant Bear Jelly, but three giant Bear Jellies lined up just up ahead. Whoever grabbed those could gain a massive lead in food points.

Seeing this, GingerBrave and Kirby gave each other a look, and both darted forward to try and grab them.

Yet to both their surprise, someone managed to beat them to it.

"Haha!" Dedede laughed as he managed to run past the two and grab one of the giant Bear Jellies, as soon as he grabbed it though, the ground caved in beneath him, and he fell into a hole that had been concealed by some fake grass.
