Kirby Run Part one and Two

Part Two Chapter Twenty-One

"Wait," a Cookie in the audience spoke up "Those were for the race?"

Wizard Cookie leaned out from the crowd and looked at the Cookie who asked that. "Beet Cookie? Why do you ask that?"

"I... uh... might've grabbed a few of the foods on my way here..." she answered.

"Beet Cookie!" exclaimed another Cookie in the audience, that being a farmer named Carrot Cookie "Haven't you learned not to take food that isn't yours!"

"I know! I know! I'm sorry!" Beet Cookie apologized "I didn't know it was for the race! I didn't take that much though!"

Just then, several food items fell out of Beet Cookie's pocket, most of which were Bear Jellies. Poor Beet Cookie looked embarrassed.

"Doop-de-do! Don't worry!" said one of the Sugar Gnomes, walking up to Beet Cookie alongside a few other Sugar Gnomes "We can put it back and it'll be all good!

Helping Beet Cookie pick up the food, the Sugar Gnomes walked off with her to where the food was meant to be placed. As they did so, Maestro Sugar Gnome addressed the crowd.

"Well since that's happening, looks like we have a few more minutes before we can start the race. So while we wait, why don't I go over a few more rules?"

Maestro Sugar Gnome explained a few more rules to the crowd- mainly that the competitors were allowed to bring any items of assistance for the race, so long as it didn't give them an unfair advantage, such as a teleporter or something- which went mostly unheard by Magolor, for he was still searching amongst the crowd for Prune Juice Cookie and Elfilin.

"Elfilin? Prune Juice Cookie?? Elfilin???"

"Magolor?"

Magolor glanced at where he heard that, and saw that it was Elfilin being held by Herb Cookie. "Hi! There you are! Was wondering when you'd arrive!"

"Hi again Magolor!" Herb Cookie waved.

Magolor floated up to the two. "Wait, where's Prune Juice Cookie?"

"Oh he said he had to go grab something, so he handed me over to Herb Cookie and said he'd be right back."

"Did he?" Magolor raised an eyebrow "What was he grabbing?"

"A snack."

Magolor turned around and saw that it was Prune Juice Cookie, holding a bag of popcorn. "Figured we could use some sustenance while we watched the race, that way we wouldn't get hungry ourselves."

"Oooh, popcorn!" Elfilin wagged his tail, Herb Cookie smiling from seeing that. Magolor seemed to be happy as well.

"That was a good idea, thank you."

"Two more things I want to address, doop-dee-doo." Maestro Sugar Gnome could be heard saying "One is that aside from the food, there are also some power ups set up throughout the course that our racers can use to help them out. Such as Blast Jellies to give them a temporary speed boost, and Life Potions to refill their stamina."

Speaking of things that refill stamina, it was at that point when Custard Cookie III returned to Dedede with some drinks, as he requested.

"I'm back!" he panted once he reached Dedede "Had to get some help, but I managed to grab just what you needed!"

Custard Cookie held up what he had brought, which were three bottles of soda, each a different flavor.

"Hey not bad." Dedede thanked, taking the bottles and putting them in his pocket "Could have used some water, but these will work well too. Thank you!"
