"Oh no! Definitely not! But I'm sure the Cookies around here wouldn't let that happen! Even if someone's bad at keeping secrets, I'm sure they'd do their best, and even help me keep you safe!"
Spelltwister Cookie's shadowy face looked to the side.
"But if you'd feel more comfortable with me keeping you a secret, I will continue to do that." Kirby promised.
Yes, thank you Kirby.
Kirby then contemplated for a moment. "Hmm, if I can't look into magic stuff for you, maybe one of my Popstar friends can!"
I'd be fine with that, as long as the one who tried to use my staff doesn't try to do so again.
Kirby giggled. "Don't worry! Magolor won't do that again, plus I think he'll be busy with his Shoppe and looking for my friends today anyway."
An idea then sparked into the pink Cookie puff's head. "Ooh hey! Maybe my friend Adeleine could look into it for you! She's not doing much today aside from watching the race and drawing, and she's really smart! I could ask her if she could do some research for me!"
That idea seemed to be fine with Spelltwister Cookie.
Not a bad suggestion. Very well, you can have her look into magic and relic research in effort to help with freeing me. Only if she's comfortable in doing so of course.
"I'm sure she will be! Although speaking of Adeleine, I think I can hear her knocking on the door."
Indeed, while Kirby was holding onto the staff and talking to Spelltwister Cookie on his bed- Magolor having already cast his invisibility spell on it before leaving to run his Shoppe- Adeleine was standing outside of his room in the inn, gently knocking on the door. Yet Kirby could only faintly hear it since he was talking to Spelltwister Cookie in the mind space.
"I'd better go, must be time to get ready for the race." said Kirby "It was nice chatting with you!"
Yes, it was very nice. Thank you for taking some time to chat with me Kirby, I appreciate it. Makes being stuck in here less lonely, so thank you.
"My pleasure!" Kirby beamed "I'll talk to you some more later, and I'll let you know if Adeleine is able to find out anything interesting! Until then, bye!"
Wait, before you go,
"Oh? What is it?"
You mentioned your friend Adeleine draws, is she an artist?
"Yes! She is, and a wonderful one at that.~" Kirby confirmed.
Nice, tell her I wish her luck in her artistic endeavors.
"Ooh, Spelltwister Cookie, do you like art?"
Heh, you could say that.
"Nice! I'll be sure to tell Adeleine!" Kirby waved "Bye Spelltwister Cookie! Talk to you later!"
Farewell Kirby, take care, and good luck.
Closing his eyes, Kirby concentrated for a second, and when he opened them back, he was back in his room in the inn. Hearing knocking on the door, Kirby gently set the staff down onto the bed- covering it up in the covers and blankets as an additional touch- hopped off the bed, and waddled over to the door.
Adeleine's voice could be heard on the other side.
"Kirby! It's almost time for the race! You ready?"
With a little hop, Kirby opened the door and greeted Adeleine. "Yup! I'm all set! Let's go!"
Smiling and holding out her hand for Kirby to hop up and give her a high five, Adeleine walked with the pink puff as they headed out the inn.
