Toothless'POV:
"Alright bud let's try this one more time" Hiccup said I looked up at him his young 20 year old face, his tan skin green eyes and brown hair all Fitting together. I was the one who had pulled the Dragon Eye out, after 4 1/2 years I believed that there was something out there.
Yes although the other dragons and riders had called it quits they had all said; "all the other species of dragons were found when Valka came with her dragons" I knew there was other dragons out there, and I just hoped! oh gosh! I hoped to the gods one of them was a night fury!
"Night Fury and the skrill" Hiccup said pressing each one of the buttons, "give me a slow burn" I lit up my mouth and watch as the dragon eye lit up the wall with patterns and symbols. In the middle stood one drawing. One drawing I understood.
"I-is that what I think it is?" Hiccup turned to me shocked I nodded my head
"Okay go get Stormfly and Astrid. They HAVE TO see this!" Hiccup yelled excitedly I skittered off up alone the dusty green plains of grass towards Hiccup and Astrid's house, I found Stormfly sleeping Soundlessly beside the house I was very weary of Stormfly I hate waking her up. In fact I hate waking any dragons up. I nudged Stormfly growling slightly
"Get up Stormfly!" I roared Stormfly raised her pretty head looking tiredly at me
"Wha-what's wrong Toothless" she asked drily
"It's Hiccup he's made a new discovery with the Dragon Eye! Wake Astrid and met us at the great hall" I said excitedly as I ran off to the great hall I found Hiccup talking to Valka, Cloudjumper bowed his head at me out of respect.
"I've never seen anything like it" Valka exclaimed looking from the Dragon Eye to the map
"I know and to think there is an entire island of dragons just like Toothless out there. Someone clobber me already!" hiccup blabbered
"Yes but Hiccup this map could be hundreds-thousands of years old that island could be anything now" Valka explained to hiccup
"There better be a GOOD reason that someone woke me up at whatever time it is-"
Astrid said confronting mostly hiccup
"Hey Astrid" Hiccup said nervously running his hands though his hair
"Don't you "hey Astrid" me Hiccup I wasn't woken up in the middle of the night by Stormfly. There better be a good explan-" Astrid said as she started to sway I rushed to her side. Something wasn't right with Astrid. Something wasn't right at all. I led Astrid over to the nearest seat.
"Astrid, babe are you okay" hiccup said racing over to Astrid's aid full on concern in his voice
"Yeah hicc just a little dizzy that's all" Astrid stated looking up at him. Hiccup raised himself from the bench and walked over to the map on the wall
"You can see this right?" hiccup asked Astrid
"Is that a drawing of a Night Fury?" Astrid said and her eyes widened in realisation "if that's a drawing of a Night Fury and the drawing is coming from the Dragon Eye then that means-" Astrid didn't finish her sentence she ran over to Hiccup squeezing him tight
"Now, now you two these markings" Valka said gesturing to the markings on the Dragon Eye "these markings date back to the early Viking years when the world was kill or be killed. If this map is true these mighten be many Night Furies left on that island"
Valka explained interestingly. My hopes dropped.
"What do you mean mum?" Hiccup questioned
"What I mean is on this map it shows an island that used to be full of Night Furies, but if you read the writing (which is early Berkian writing.) there are notes on each part of the island. Here one of the Vikings write "caught several young dragons here today, going to make a fine dinner tonight" and here another Viking said "numbers of the dragons slowly declining. Couple of hundred of them flew South today. Will finish them off later" I'm sorry hiccup but I think toothless might be the last of his species" Valka finished
I felt my scales crawl I couldn't be the last could I? I shook the thought from my head it was a lot to take in I couldn't think about what I was going to do again this breeding season! I'll no doubt be alone! Again!
My train of thought was interrupted when when Valka spoke "umm hiccup has this Dragon eye recently been updated at all?" Valka questioned hiccup
"Uhh no. why?"
"Because down in this corner in small new Berkian writing it says "Today I saw a youngish looking white -from what I've red- Night Fury my parents had always told me to kill a Night Fury if I ever saw one, but the dragon itself was a magnificent site. Plus I'd herd of the dragon riders from the Isle of Berk, and the peace keeper young Hiccup had a Night Fury of his own. Okay let me skip to the point the reason I wrote in this Dragon Eye was in hope that one day young Hiccup will find this Dragon Eye and find this note to not listen to the notes above, to give him courage and let him know that there is another blue eyed white coloured Night Fury out there and it's no doubt waiting to find another fury to. Goodluck young dragon rider"
Immediately I started prancing round the room my body pumping with adrenaline I'm not the last one there's another one out there. There's another Night Fury!
"Woah Toothless, Bud calm down. Toothless and I will go to this island tomorrow and see if anything is there, we'll keep an eye out for the white Night Fury as well" hiccup explained
"And what do you expect to find on this island" Valka asked
"An old ship, maps, anything thats lead us to where that dragon is"
"And what about the dragon? How do you expect a dragon like that who has probably seen wars between humans and dragon happen before. It probably doesn't trust a human one single inch." Valka said
"We'll track it and slowly gain it's trust! Just like I did with Toothless! right bud" hiccup said scratching under my chin
"I'm off to bed" Valka yawned "good luck in the morning with that dragon son" she cooed as she left the great hall.
Astrid stood and walked to Hiccup, "ohh she's going to tell him" Stormfly squawked
"Tell him what?" I frowned
"You'll find out"
"H-hiccup there has been something I need to tell you" Astrid was clearly nervous as she fidgeted with stuff
"What's wrong?" Hiccup asked
"You remember a few weeks ago when you said you were ready for a family" Astrid revisited
"Uhh yes but that was before all of thi-"
"Hiccup I'm pregnant" Hiccup's eyes widened in surprise
"Y-You are?"
"Valka took me up to Gothi yesterday to confirm. Is there a problem?"
"Oh Astrid this is great! I'm going to be a father" he said swinging Astrid in the air before walking over to me!
"Toothless I'm going to be a father. And the mother, is the most amazing girl in the world" hiccup said kissing Astrid passionately.
"One day maybe" i said sadly
