Seventy // The Meeting

"I really don't like him." He said.

"We know," Caitlin said. "Because you get jealous. But don't worry, she doesn't shut up about you." She said.

"Really? What does she say?" Niall asked, looking down at Caitlin.

"The usual. How cute you are and how much she loves your voice. Oh and you much she likes you, that's a big one. She wouldn't shut up about it while we were getting ready for the show last night." Caitlin said.

I elbowed her, causing her to stop talking. "I don't think that Liz would like you saying this stuff about her." I said.

"So? He's going to be her husband someday so who cares?" Caitlin said, shrugging her shoulders.

"Husband? I think that that's a little bit farfetched." Niall said.

I looked down at Caitlin before looking back up at him, trying not to smile. "So then what are you intentions with our Liz? I mean, if you don't want to be with her seriously than why at all? Are you just trying to get in bed with her? Because she's a lot smarter than you think and she won't sleep with you for a long, long time." I said.

"I- I didn't... I'm not...." I tried my best not to smile as he stuttered, trying to think of something to say. I couldn't stop from laughing anymore and I closed my eyes as I laughed.

"That was great. You completely fell for it. Oh God." I laughed.

"I hate you." Niall said. I opened my eyes, my laughter dying down as I shrugged. I looked over at Liz to see her walking back towards us. She smiled and came over to me, putting her arm around my shoulder. She looked really sad and I felt bad. She was close to Beck and I knew that. It must be hard to be leaving him. I know how she feels, I feel the same way about leaving her and Caitlin. Even if it was only for a few days.

"You okay?" I asked.

"Mhm, we should probably get going though. They are ready to take us." Liz said, nodding her head towards something behind me. I turned around to look and saw the man waiting for us by the car. I recognized him as the body guard that would usually be with us when we went out.

"Right. Come on Cait, let's give these two love birds some privacy." I said. I stepped away from Liz and took Caitlin's hand, pulling her towards the car. I climbed in and sat down, telling Caitlin to close the door and lean back. I leaned forward and watched the two say their goodbye.

I cringed a bit at how awkward it seemed. It looked like Niall wanted to kiss her but didn't have the balls to. I don't blame him, kissing Liz is difficult. I would know. After a few seconds they hugged, holding onto each other tightly. Liz's back was facing us, so we could see Niall's face. His eyes were closed as he hugged her and I mentally awed at how cute they were.

After a good minute, they broke apart and started backing away from each other. Liz waved and turned around, walking back to us. I watched as she tucked her hair behind her ear. I looked past her and saw Niall still staring at Liz. He started walking forward and called for her. Liz turned around as Niall walked up to her. I watched as he brought his hands up to her jaw, cradling her face as he leaned down and kissed her forehead.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I yelled, making Caitlin jump. "Is he seriously not kissing her for real? He fucking likes her and doesn't know when he'll see her next, and he doesn't kiss her properly. She must already have his balls in a jar." I said.

Caitlin laughed, shaking her head. "Calm down, would you? I think it's cute. They'll have their first kiss eventually. I mean, after the one that they already had but still." She said.
