Levente was about to close his shop earlier than usual. A couple of hours ago, he couldn't help but notice Ferenc's car drive by and toward Nenetl's home. He knew that Nenetl was alive and well but wondered what happened. It was 4:30 p.m., and I thought it would be a good idea to visit to see how it went. Not only that, he wondered if Nenetl had other information. When the bookstore was closed, Levente went to a small bakery near his shop. It was owned by a mother and son duo, who knew him well since he was one of their best customers. He bought Pogácsas, Dobos Tortes, and Esterházy Tortes, paid, and went to Nenetl's house.

Once he stood at the front door, before he could knock, the door was opened. "Oh, Nenetl, I was about to-"

"Levente, I'm glad you arrived. Please come in."

The older man couldn't help but notice the anxiety and nervousness in her tone, and he knew that something had gone wrong. He walked inside the house, where he put down the box of desserts he had bought. Levente also sat on one of the wooden chairs by the table. "I know you went with Ferenc, and I am glad you are well. However, by the look of it, something is troubling you." Levente opened the box that showed the desserts he bought. "Sit and eat one, it will bring you some comfort."

Nenetl closed the door behind her and couldn't believe Levente would ask her to eat a dessert; she wasn't hungry. Her anxiety and fear overcame her being. "Levente, you know that with Ferenc, it is never good news. His mask is slipping and I'm scared that it will slip even more. He-!"

"Eat. You're nerves are speaking for you. I bought them because I knew something was amiss. Eat one of these and once you are calm, explain everything to me." He motioned the box closer to her. Nenetl looked at the older man, who looked reassuring; he wanted her to be calm. His smile and his reassuring look reminded her of her father. She missed him terribly. The young woman sat down, took a piece of Esterházy Torte, and took a bite. It was not too sweet; it was just right. The filling was creamy and soft to the taste. The older man watched as Nenetl took small bites of the dessert; it relieved him to see that she was calm. "Alright, now tell me what happened?" Nenetl slowly told him what happened with her time with Ferenc when she went to Diósgyőr Castle.

Levente listened intently as he took a Dobos Torte and took small bites of it. It surprised him that Ferenc loosened his mask and began to show his true self. He didn't show it, but he became worried for Nenetl. He and Elek thought it was a good idea for her to help them see if Ferenc was a serial killer. His actions spoke high volumes, and there was no doubt that he was, but there was no proof. "What should I do? I did give him my word that I will go to the party with him but I don't know if he will keep his word."

"Go with him but you will not go alone." This surprised the young woman; she looked at Levente. "I thought that that Ferenc would keep on his facade, to keep face. Now I realize that he is slowly slipping because of you. It seems that he has an interest in you that is more than professional."

"Please don't say it..."

"I must, whether you like it or not. Look, I will call Elek so that we can go along with the festivities. Elek has men whom he trusts will keep guard during the festivities. We will ensure your safety." The idea soothed her fear, but she still feared what might happen in the aftermath. Would he leave her alone? Would she be able to go back home? "Nenetl, you must return home after everything is said and done. Call your father and tell him that you will return home."

The young woman bit her lip. She felt disappointed that the opportunity she believed she had would end. However, Nenetl didn't want to stay in a dangerous situation. "I-I will call him and I will book a plane to go back home."

"Good." Then, Levente's phone rang, which he picked up and answered; it was Elek. Nenetl watched as Levente spoke. She got on the phone and texted her father when he was available for a phone call. Not only that, but she also went onto Google to look up available plane tickets. Levente eventually finished speaking on the phone and stood still; Nenetl noticed. The older man noticed her television without saying a word and turned it on. He changed a couple of channels and stopped at a news channel. In Hungarian, there was breaking news that a woman's body was found by a couple who were hiking. Nenetl saw this and slowly stood up as she entered the living room. She and Levente watched the news about the body being found, and it was a possibility that the same serial killer struck again. What made them sick was that the location wasn't too far from the town.

Nenetl knew right there and then that Ferenc had done it. Who else would have done it? While watching the television, a knock on the door made her squeal in surprise. Levente flinched but went to open the door. On the other end was a middle-aged man holding a box. "Hello sir, I have a special delivery for someone named Nenetl Kuhn."

Levente raised an eyebrow but took the box. "Yes, she is here, and I will give it to her." The older man grabbed the box, entered his van, and drove off. The door was closed, and Levente put the box on one of the sofas. "This came for you." Nenetl looked at the white box tied in a beautiful red bow with a rose. There was also a note. When getting it, it read:

"This will suit you. I look forward to seeing you in it."

"It's from Ferenc." When they removed it, both realized it was a long white floral Roberto Cavalli dress. Nothing else needed to be said. Nenetl had to leave as soon as possible.
