A loud murmurs of oohs and awes are heard.
“So Jackie will you be my girlfriend”
“Yes” I nod happily.
He beams, runs up, picks me up and twirls me around.
“I’m so happy” He cries.
The rest of the group and all our friends run up on stage.
“Oh my gosh that was so sweet” Evie gushes.
“It’s just like a fairytale” Ryles squeals.
“With a happily ever after” All the girls say in unison.
“Nice job Zands” Mattie and Easton smirk.
“Bro, that was awesome” Ben smiles, “We could totally double date”
“Double date? Triple date” Evie cuts in.
“This is perfect”
“Honey that was so amazing” My mom smiles, rushing to hug Zander. She turns to me and engulfs me in a hug too,
“Nice move big brother” Arie laughs.
“Thanks Ars.”
“So you both crushed it” Cindy says, “I never knew you were so good at singing”
“Neither did I, you 're holding out on us girl.” Julie remarks, “Oh and my family wants to meet you and Evie, so bring your friends too, come on guys”
“I’ll get Mal and the guys.”
Evie walks off as we follow the group to where everyones’ families are gathered.
“Mom, dad, this is Jackie, my new roomate.”
“Hi, it’s a pleasure to meet you”
“Oh you too, you and your boyfriend sound great together” Jasmine compliments.
“Thank you”
“Thank you Queen Jasmine” Zanders smiles, wrapping his arm around me.
“Please, Zander, I've known you and your brother since you were in diapers. You don’t have to be so formal”
With the mention of diapers everyone starts to laugh.
“Oh these are also our friend, Jay, Carlos and Mal”
“Hi, it’s great to meet you,” Aladdin smiles.
“Hello” they chorus.
We all spend another hour just chatting and getting to know everyone and their parents. It is very fun.
Mal joins Adam and Ben in a game of croquet while the rest of us are talking nearby when I hear.
"Hello there"
I turn to see an older lady talking with Mal.
"Hi"
"Now, have we met?"
"No, I don't think so. I'm new. I'm sort of like a... Transfer student"
"Oh, yes"
